This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of training social problem solving strategies on self-esteem in second-grade guidance schools female students in Yazd. The research design was quasi-experimental with pre-test, post-test, and control group. (Without intervention) and pcychological placebo group (except for intervention of social problem solving strategies). The population in this study comprised of second-grade guidance school female students in Yazd who were enrolled in school year 2012-2013. The sample of this study consisted of 67 students who were selected using multistage random cluster sampling and were assigned in three groups (experimental: N=20, control: N=20, and psychological placebo: N=27). As for self- esteem a pre-test was performed in all the experimental, control and placebo groups. Social problem solving strategies training was performed on experimental group in 10 sessions 60 minutes each. Following the experimental intervention, self-esteem of the three groups were measured again. Cooper Smith Self-esteem Inventory was used for measuring self-esteem. Analysis of covariance and Bonferroni Post hoc test were used to check the results. The results showed that in the experimental group social problem solving strategies training increased adjusted mean scores of self-esteem scores (P<0.001) and mean scores on the subscales of self-esteem, including total self-esteem and educational self-esteem, were increased. But this intervention could not increase adjusted mean scores of family self-esteem and social self-esteem. According to the research findings, social problem solving strategies training increased self-esteem. So this method can be used as one of the possible ways to increase self-esteem in the critical period of puberty. Manuscript profile

This study aimed to investigate the factor structure and psychometric properties of the Persian version of the lay beliefs about competition scale (Kesebir et al., 2019) in a group of Iranian high school students. For this purpose, 464 students of Evaz city, located in the south of Fars province, who were studying in the academic year of 2022-2023; they were selected Convenience sampling method. They responded to the lay beliefs about competition scale (Kesebir et al., 2019) and achievement goals questionnaire (Elliott et al., 2011). The content, construct, convergent and divergent validity of the mentioned scale were investigated using the opinion of educational psychology experts, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation coefficients of component scores with related variables and correlation between scale components. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to investigate the reliability of the scale. Experts confirmed the representativeness of the scale items to measure the positive and negative lay beliefs about competition in the two-factor model presented by Kesebir et al. (2019). Exploratory factor analysis showed that there is a two-factor structure of lay beliefs about competition including positive and negative beliefs about competition among Iranian students. The lay beliefs about competition model test includes positive beliefs and negative beliefs confirming the two-factor structure of this scale in line with the main research. Also, the logical connection of the components of positive and negative lay beliefs about competition with the components of achievement goals indicates the convergent validity of this scale. The average correlation of two positive and negative components of the lay beliefs about competition confirms the divergent validity of this scale. In addition, Cronbach's alpha coefficients confirm the reliability of the scale. In total, the findings of the research show that the Persian version of the mentioned scale has suitable psychometric indicators for measuring positive and negative lay beliefs about competition in the group of Iranian high school students; and it has the necessary efficiency to measure the mentioned beliefs. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the epidemiology of stress, anxiety and depression in elementary school students of Shahid Eftekhari School in Yasouj. In this research, 605 students (264 girls and 341 boys) aged 14 to 19 from all grades of primary school in Yasouj city participated. To collect information, three tests, Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), Kettle Anxiety Scale and Children's Depression Scale (CDS-A) were used. Because the PSS and CDS-A tests did not have Iranian standards, these tests were also validated using the obtained data. The reliability obtained for PSS was 0.76 by dividing Spearman-Brown and 0.77 using Cronbach's alpha, and 0.90 and 0.89 for CDS-A, respectively. Then, to determine the validity of these two tests, the correlation of each item with the total of each test was taken, which were significant at the P<0.001 level. Factor analysis was also used and the examination of the items that had the highest load on each of the items showed that the items of these two tests have good discriminating power and are reliable for measuring the desired goals. Epidemiological results show that the prevalence of stress is 9.1% in boys and 22% in girls, and 14.7% in the total sample, where the prevalence of girls is 2.5 times that of boys. In relation to anxiety, the prevalence was investigated in three levels: hidden, overt and general. In this case, hidden anxiety was 10.3% in boys and 13.6% in the whole sample. Overt anxiety was 7% in boys and 13.4% in the whole sample, and general anxiety was 11.1% in boys and 23.5% in girls and 16.5% in the whole sample. Here too, the prevalence of girls was higher than boys in all three levels (hidden 1.7 times that of boys, overt 3 times and overall 1.2 times that of boys). The prevalence of depression was 8.5% in boys and 24.2% in girls and 15.4% in the whole sample. This rate shows that girls are more affected than boys and this rate is 2.8 times. Manuscript profile

Entrepreneurs have a great impact on the economic growth of a country, therefore, raising the generation of entrepreneurs and preparing them for economic activities is very important. What makes entrepreneurial talent come into action and manifest is entrepreneurial self-efficacy, which ultimately leads to entrepreneurial intention. Considering the necessity of entrepreneurship education in promoting entrepreneurship and the appropriateness of childhood to create a deep attitude about entrepreneurship, educational programs of primary school should be targeted and implemented in order to raise awareness and strengthen attitudes towards entrepreneurship. And as researchers increasingly pay attention to entrepreneurship education, there is a lack of empirical evidence on how to prepare for entrepreneurship education at an early age. Therefore, this study investigates the effect of outdoor learning environment and entrepreneurship education on students' entrepreneurial self-efficacy. The findings showed that the outdoor learning environment is closely related to entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial self-efficacy. Second, entrepreneurship education plays an important role in mediating the relationship between outdoor learning environment and students' self-efficacy. Our research provides insight to future researchers that early education plays an important role in the growth and development of self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intentions. Manuscript profile

Pintridge sees self-management in learning as an active and organized process based on which learners choose goals for themselves and then try to identify, control and monitor their own motivation and behavior to achieve those goals. Pintrich's main self-directed learning framework is based on how students can organize their learning psychologically, motivationally and behaviorally, which emphasizes the interaction of metacognitive and motivational factors in this process. Self-directed learning strategies include: cognitive strategies, repetition and review strategies, expansion and organization, metacognitive strategies, planning strategies, control, monitoring and ordering, and resource management strategies in order to control the learning environment. Learners should be able to manage and regulate their study time and environment, monitor their efforts and help their peers and teachers to solve problems. Teaching self-directed learning strategies helps students to make better decisions and provide solutions to their social and academic problems. <p>The purpose of this research was to predict academic procrastination through the academic emotions of the second high school female students. This research was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of correlational data collection. The statistical population of the present study includes all female students of the second secondary level of Gorgan city in the academic year of 2011-2012, whose number was 4501. According to Morgan's table, the number of samples equal to 354 female students of the second secondary level were selected using available sampling. The research tool in this study was a standard questionnaire, which was used for procrastination from Sawari's academic procrastination questionnaire, and for measuring academic emotions, Pakran et al.'s questionnaire was used. After collecting and extracting the data, the scores of the participants were analyzed using Pearson's correlation method and then multivariate regression analysis using SPSS-27 software. The results of the correlation coefficient between the research variables were significant. The results show that the regression model using the simultaneous method (Enter) variables of positive emotions (&beta;=0.463), negative emotions (&beta;=0.131), and academic emotions (&beta;=0.117) are significant predictors of procrastination. are academic work (P&gt;0.001).
