Bānu Gošasb is a famous heroine who has always been considered because of her special personality. The question that arises is about the origin of such a character and such a heroine. This heroine always has been related to goddesses, while mythological, historical, and sociological origins have been supposed for her, and also, some researchers introduce her emanating either from matriarchal culture or patriarchal culture. In this essay, following the traces of her origin, we raise this question “Is Bānu Gošasb a Scythian heroine”?For this purpose, we refer to the Scythia of the Rostam family. Afterwards, we gather the features of Scythians, Sarmatians, and Scythians females;Because Bānu Gošasb is Rostam's daughter and if Rostam is from Scythian family, his daughter is also a Scythian lady.We examine the character of Bānu Gošasbin various texts and finally compare her characteristics with Scythian women. The result of this study shows that many characteristics of Bānu Gošasb and Scythian women are common and Bānu Gošasb is a Scythian heroine. Manuscript profile

Changes and evolutions in society, especially the family, are studied and explained based on various theories, including the theory of conflict. According to this theory, there are different attitudes and interests in a society and also different groups, that by power, order is created between them and social stability is provided; but ultimately the unequal distribution of resources will lead to struggle and conflict between them. The present research aims to interpret and analyze the evolutions of Iranian family in novels « Talar-e Ayeneh (The Mirror Hall)» by Amir Hossein Cheheltan, «Samphony-e Mordegan (Symphony of the Dead)» by Abbas Maroufi, and «Nimey-e Ghayeb (The Absent Half)» by Hossein Sanapour based on the conflict theory and using descriptive-analytical method. This study seeks to answer the following questions: What factors have caused conflict in Iranian families during different periods? What were the benefits of the conflict? What resources have the dominated groups used to liberate themselves? And what changes has this conflict caused in the family? The results show that first conflict and tension are created in the upper families of the society, and then the middle families and afterwards lower families.; These contradictions are due to the familiarity with modernity, and in the beginning, the character of the father played the role of agency in this field. But in the following, other members of the family, especially the son character, and then, the daughter and wife have protested against the existing order. The father benefits from the existing order and other family members are dominated by him. He has resourses such as power and wealth at his disposal to continue his dominance and the subordinated group have used resources and capitals such as socio-economic and cultural capitals to emancipate themselves. The father character seeks to maintain his power and authority in the family, and other members of the family seek individuality and independence. The conflict resulting from this situation has led to changes and evulations in the values and norms of the family, especially with regard to marriage, education, and occupation, and a new order has been formed with the collapse of the previous order of the family. The purpose of this article is the comparative survey of three contrastive theoreticians- Hegel, Marx, and Gramsci- on state, civil society and their relationships. Hegel assumed the civil society as a combination of three systems; the economical, legal and cohesive (police and their related classes) which stand between the family and the state; which ultimately substitutes the state. Marx considers the civil society as the domain of work and everyday life, which is a totally economical and apolitical domain. Unlike Hegel and Marx, Gramci observes the civil society as a cultural sphere. The result of this theoretical comparative analysis shows that although these three contrasting theorists of philosophical principles assume a similar and common society as the base of their analysis, their conclusions on the society’s pattern structure differs with each other. Hegel substituted the three-dimensioned pattern of “family-civil society-state” with Aristotle’s classic two-dimensioned pattern of “family-city state”. Also Marx’s substructure pattern (on civil society) and superstructure (state) changed for Gramsci to the substructure (economic) and superstructure (civil society = nongovernmental organs + state). Gramci’s state is a combinative state compiled of the satisfaction of “mastery + power” and therefore it is both the substructure and the superstructure. Manuscript profile

The main purpose of this article is to find the relation between political implications of Sophocles’s Antigone and “Athenian Democracy”. To do so, we have used a structuralist approach the main feature of which is exploring binary oppositions in the text which in turn results in finding the oppositions within the political-social life that provides a ground for the creation of the text. From the point of view of political thought, the most prominent opposition in the tragedy of Antigone which creats a network of oppositions around itself, is the one drawn between “family”- with its values- and “political system” and the relationships among the citizenry. The importance of this opposition has been confirmed by Christian Meier, Jean Pierre Vernant, Charles Segal, and even Micheal Zelnak. It reveals a transition to the epoch of citizenry’s relations. It also caused the confrontation between “unwritten divine laws” and “man-made written laws”, the opposition that is the main focus of the present article. Manuscript profile

Since the victory of Islamic Republic of Iran up to now, there emerged two significant and effective intellectual and political currents. The first current which could be called from intellectual dimension as “Juristic Islamism Current” and from political dimension as “Fundamentalism current”, got its climax political power in first and third decades of Islamic Revolution and it still keeps its power today. In contrast, the second current which could be called from intellectual dimension as “religious new thinkers” and from political aspect as the “Reformism current” reached its climax political power in the second decade of Revolution and from then on its is declining. The main purpose of this article is to comparatively review these two currents regarding the issue of women’s rights, particularly in relation to their political participation and its main hypothesis is as follows: “the different intellectual and religious principles of these two currents caused an inconsistency in their position toward the issue of women’s rights, particularly in relation to their political participations. To evaluate this hypothesis, using the descriptive-analytical method, it is tried to review intellectual and religious alphabets of these two currents and compare particularly these two in relation to political participation and family. The findings of this research shows that their attitudes toward the issue of women’s rights have significant differences in one hand, and in other hand, these differences are basically due to their different but inflexible interpretations of religion. The comparative study on political theory of the public and private sphere with law provides a basis for restriction of law and state and redraws public-private law boundary. Research method is descriptive-analytical. That is, firstly, the private and public sphere, according to Hannah Arendt's theories, are described by identifying its elements. And, secondly, the elements in two spheres are analyzed in accordance with law framework and its branches generally. And, finally, the level of recognition of private and public sphere in legal system of Iran is measured. The private sphere is an area of human life that is intertwined with elements such as intangible ownership and presidency of the family, and the tendency to conceal and naturally de-legalization. Civil society is a part of private sphere; it is an area of human self-control activity into non-governmental groups. The public sphere is an area of policy-making by citizens through free conversation and action. In the legal system of Iran, the private sphere is supported overall; independence of civil society is not guaranteed, despite implicit recognition. Government makes policy, then citizens work within its framework after getting governmental permission. Manuscript profile

Renunciation is one of the issues. Important in training people. That is to say overlooking one’s mistakes, man gives the opportunity to him to return and correct himself. Now it is the question: who is the role of renunciation in training others? And what is the prophet’s and his family’s life style in this regard? In this article, a descriptive and analytic method, a library method as well as a sampling method is used and concludes that overlooking method is useful in training other peoples and help the man to save himself in dangerous conditions. The prophet and his family also have practiced renunciation. Because although some people insulted the prophet (pbuh) and his family, they respected them apparently and they overlooked their impolite behaviors. And this method was useful in their correction and training. That is, the renunciation method helps the people to find the opportunity for penitence, causes munificence, hinders contumacy, attracts prophet’s family, etc. so the student’s parents can use this method. Throughout history, women had not had a high rank and would often face cruelty. However, by daily increasing awareness of man and rapid social and human advances, the question aroused as to what is the real rank of women in society and family. The family institution has been mainstreamed in Islam in its introduction to the Convention on the Rights of the Child and has been introduced as the most important framework for the development of the child. When parental separation occurs, the issue of custody and priority of the parties arises for the care of the child, which is similar to the circumstances, in the absence of the necessary conditions for the custody to be transferred to the opposite party. At the same time, today one of the indicators of human development is the extent to which women are present and how they play their roles in various fields of activity, which has a serious impact on other actions. The issue of protecting women's rights and non-discrimination on the basis of gender is a special issue. Success in this case needs to be paid for employment that is being tackled. For this reason, custody and employment are two related concepts, in which the maintenance and upbringing of the child requires income, which is realized with the aim of improving the continuous education of children based on the active participation of women in employment. Its apparent manifestation and manifestation in Islamic law is more evident than its application to human rights. Manuscript profile

Family violence is a result of complicated factors which in some cases, lack of criminalization, lack of explicit point of view in law and the silence of the legislator contribute to its expansion. Unfortunately despite all the criticisms, the legislator named again adulterer an adulteress as instances of Mahdour al-Dam in article 203 of the new law of Islamic punishment and has issued the permission of murder in bed for husband, which can be considered and studied as a significant example of family violence. In this research, authors are recogniting the subjects of murder in bed, believing in sheding adulterer’s and adulteress blood with immunity and they believe that this subject is a clear example of family violence. Meantime, a question arises that “How the husband can kill both of them without any trial and hearing defencive reasons and evidences?”. According to the words of Islamic jurisprudents, it is clear that they arenot in agreement on the giving the permission of murder in bed to the husband. Finally it should be recalled that the legislator should do his best to remove legal articles which themselves can be the basis of crime and can increase allowance of private justice and personal revenges and family violence cases. Although Islam strongly opposes discrimination against women, but does not advocate for their absolute equality. The nature has created men and women as complementary beings in life and in society. Therefore, contrary to Western civilization, Islam has given women and men natural rights not the same rights. However, Islam does not oppose the equality between women and men but it opposes the similarity of their rights. The constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran has set a high status for women, and in this connection the government is obliged to observe women's rights in all respects according to Islamic standards and guarantee the full rights of all persons, including men and women, and equality of the law of the Supreme Court has been emphasized. In accordance with the Islamic rules governing the country, the current paper examines the new law on the protection of the family adopted in 2013, for the protection of women's rights, as well as three important issues that directly address the challenges of women's rights. The main question of the current paper is whether this law has taken a more effective step towards the stability of the family, rather than the previous law, and has been responding to the question and has also examined the compliance of this law with the Iranian religious beliefs. Child marriage is one of the major challenges in the family institution and in society. Child marriage has been widespread throughout the history of societies depend on time and place. But its increase in society, especially for reasons such as poverty and the widespread age difference is considered a threat to the institution of the family and society. In this article, child marriages across the country are reviewed based on valid statistical yearbooks. The results of statistical analysis show that the trend of child marriage has been increasing since 2011 until 2019 and Khorasan-e-Razavi, East Azarbaijan, Sistan and Baluchestan and Khuzestan provinces are among the provinces with the highest rates of child marriage. Yazd and Semnan provinces have the least statistics. East Azarbaijan province ranks second in early marriage and child marriage as well as in divorce in the age group of 10 to 14 years. Within the provinces, child marriage is more common in the cities of Malekan, Bostanabad, Sarab and Charoimagh and the highest divorce rate was observed in early marriages in Varzaghan, Malekan, Sarab, Khodafarin, Kaleibar and Hashtrood. Therefore, for preventing, adjustment and controlling of unintended and unwanted child marriage in the community and proper management of families with child marriage, it seems that education and promotion of life skills and communication of child marriage families, education and awareness of different groups of people about child marriage outcomes, Social, Legal and Economic Prevention of child marriage based on economic poverty, creation of a database and observation of issues and problems of child marriage, employing religious leaders and community Imams in changing the stereotypes , Creating a legal obligation to deliver courses Life and marital harassment, banning abnormal age at marriage and marrying under 14, and forming medical, psychological, social, and cultural committees to guide families on the path to successful marriage are the ways in which the abnormal child-marriage rate can be decreased, Controlled and modified. Protecting children at risk is one of the most important issues of child rights under international and regional conventions and domestic laws. The principle accepted in family law is the parent's priority for child custody. However, if the child’s welfare requires, one way of protecting children with unqualified parent(s) is to keep them in a safe environment outside the family by qualified persons or public or private entities and institutions. In this way, the ultimate goal is to restore parental ability, rebuild family relationships and provide the opportunity for the child to return to the family. This study uses library resources, laws, regulations and interviews with experts and professionals of Behzisti (State welfare organization) and judiciary to try to identify different ways of providing administrative and judicial support to orphaned or abandoned children In order to provide effective guardianship and care for them. According to current laws and regulations, in case of guardianless or neglected child, caring for him/her would be in a family setting and otherwise in a residential child care community. In addition to restoring family competence, the independence of the supported child also terminates the intervention of public institutions to support children and adolescents without effective guardian. Undoubtedly, the successful return of the child to the original family requires a gradual and supervised process as well as eliminating the existing family problems. Manuscript profile

Following an analytic descriptive method, this paper aims to configure and briefly analyze the theory or, at least, approach of Khwajah Nasir al-Din Tusi regarding the management of the household and the quality of resolving family problems. Given the findings of this study, it seems that, in Tusi’s definition of family, the existence of some full-time servants at home is necessary. This definition could have been developed under the influence of Tusi’s social class. It seems that his views of the desirable economic cycle of the family and its necessary elements need to be modernized in order to become more compatible with present economic realities. The findings of this study further demonstrate that Tusi’s approach to family management is similar to that of a physician. In other words, he believes that the head of the family, as a more experienced and knowledgeable person, should diagnose the defects of the family members with a sympathetic attitude and then try to remedy them. The view of the holy religion of Islam on the foundation of the family and the special effort to strengthen it is due to the importance of education and excellence of the individual and consequently the family and society. Achieving transcendent and strong families is not possible except by adorning oneself with moral virtues and the participation of all family members. In this, patience and forbearance have a special place; From the perspective of the religion of Islam, faith, worship, honor and dignity of the soul, without patience, consistency and permanence, and education and propagation of religion, is not possible without it. The family has an irreplaceable role in ensuring the health of the individual and society; therefore, children should grow up under the care of parents and within the family. Parental care means keeping children in touch with the family. The present study has reviewed international documents on the necessity of children's right to family life in the light of the human rights system. The family, as the solid foundation of society and the first social institution, is a natural and fundamental unit that has historically always acted as a supporter and provider of the basic needs of its members. Numerous factors in the past few centuries and especially in recent decades have caused significant changes in the definition and structure and function of the family and the role of government in this entity. The international human rights system also recognizes the variability of the concept of family and that this concept varies from place to place and from time to time depending on historical, social and cultural conditions, while accepting the existence of different forms of social classes in all over the world, there is no specific definition of family and its types. Nevertheless, the right to family life of children is recognized as a fundamental right in the international human rights system. In addition to stipulating the right of the child to live in the family, the right to marry, to found a family, and support the institution of the family have been taken into consideration, which are rooted in human dignity and freedom. In the Holy Qur'an, the most basic principle in behaviour and interaction between couples is mentioned as " Consorting with them in an honourable and right manner". In other words, the Holy Qur'an mentions the criterion of association with one's spouse as the " Maruf" principle. The Qur'anic phrase , in the relations between couples has a wide meaning and many examples, which in a general division is divided into two parts, examples with a jurisprudential nature and examples with a moral nature. The present study intends to examine the functions and role of this Quartic phrase according to its moral nature in the relationship between couples. The moral instances of " Consorting with them in an honourable and right manner " are generally divided into common instances between the couple and specific instances of each. Love, patience and mutual support of couples to each other are the most important moral examples of this rule. Love is a factor that prevents the collapse of the family and the tolerance and mutual support of couples to each other is a factor to create intimacy and peace between couples, which therefore play a key role in family stability. In this regard, benevolence, counselling and caring for the wife are considered moral examples specific to the man, and obedience, humility and protection of the husband's secrets and property in his absence are specific examples for the woman under this rule. An important dimension of consumer behavior is making impulsive decisions. These decisions are shaped by a quick decision process, resulting from excitement and emotion. Impulsive traveling is one of the immediate behaviors in which a tourist travels to somewhere for which he or she has not carefully planned. There are many reasons behind this kind of behavior in tourism, including going to see somewhere for fun; pressures from friends, peers and family members; undeclared internal motivations; or even encouragement from destinations with different marketing tools. This paper examined the impact of children’s participation, in family decision-making, on the emotions of the decision maker in the family and the impulsive travel plans they made. The conceptual model is based on literature and research background, which showed relationship between variables (youth insistence, decision makers’ emotions and intention to travel impulsively). For sampling and data collection, a questionnaire was distributed among 384 families that had traveled impulsively to different locations of the province of Guilan. This is an applied study, and data collection followed descriptive-correlation based on structural equation modeling. SPSS 19 was used to analyze the descriptive data. For statistical inference, we used structural equation modeling (SEM) based on partial least squares (PLS) and Smart PLS2 software. Results showed that children’s participation in decisions affects impulsive family planning to travel. In addition, the mediating role of emotions was also confirmed showing that children that take part in family decision-making, not only increased the impulsive traveling of family members but also affected their emotions. The structure of power in the family is an important issue that affects the stability of the family. In recent decades, various changes have taken place at different national levels and also within the Iranian family, which has left an impact on family stability. The main purpose of this article is to investigate the relationship between power structure and its relationship with family instability in Iran. This study has investigated the relationship between two variables using the secondary analysis method of 3819 married people in the National Family Survey data. The structure of power in three indicators of power construction, freedom of action and exercise of power, the method of exercising power with relevant sub-indicators and family instability in three indicators at the levels of action (marital conflict, and violence) and attitude (attitude to divorce) were studied under sub-indicators. Findings show that while the overall power structure in the Iranian family is significantly symmetrical, some indicators of power such as freedom of action and the exercise of power and methods of exercising power have significant effects on marital conflict, violence and divorce attitudes and increase family instability. In order to reduce divorce and increase family stability, it is necessary to allocate various programs and services, including counseling, etc., to families with more marital conflicts and families where more violence is reported. Men and women also have different attitudes toward the power structure and attitudes toward the consequences of divorce, and women are more tolerant of the consequences of divorce. Manuscript profile

For the first time, by the single article (Act) of the "Therapeutic Abortion Act" approved in 2005, abortion was conditionally prescribed due to "fetal disease which causes Hardship to the mother, due to fetal retardation or deformation". With the approval of the "Family and Youth of the Population's Protection Act" in 2021 and the abrogation of that single article, Hardship-based abortion, has been released from merely fetal disease or defect, and generally has been expanded to "severe unbearable Hardship for the mother". This change is considered a big leap in Iran's legislation and needs to be analyzed and investigated. The purpose of this article is to analyze and explain the conditions, criteria, effects, and efficiency of Hardship-based abortion in the new law. Its method is Descriptive and Analytical. It seems that: 1. Limiting abortion to fetal disease or defects is not logically justified. 2. In some cases, the social and psychological (not physical) Hardship caused by pregnancy, is much more severe and impactful than the fetal diseases. 3. Every dissatisfaction and excuse cannot be considered as a case for a mother's Hardship; rather, the definition, criteria, and examples for Hardship, must be carefully explained. 4. The special procedure in the new Act, guarantees a thorough and comprehensive proceeding to each case. Manuscript profile

The present study aimed to investigate the relationship of parenting styles with parents’ sexual knowledge and attitude and the level of interest in talking about sexual issues with children in Shirazi families. The statistical sample consisted of 160 parents with children in Shiraz who were selected by convenience sampling. The data were collected by Parenting Styles Questionnaire (Baumrind, 1991), Parents’ Interest in Talking about Sexual Issues (Koblinsky & Atkinson, 1982), and Sexual Knowledge and Attitude Scale (Besharat, 2005). The reliability of the instruments was estimated using Cronbach’s alpha. The relationship of each dimension of parenting styles and parents’ sexual knowledge and attitude and interest in talking about sexual issues was examined using correlation and regression analysis. The results revealed a significant negative relationship between authoritarian parenting style and interest in talking about sexual issues. There was a significant positive relationship between authoritative parenting style and sexual knowledge and attitude . Furthermore, no significant relationship was found between permissive parenting style and sexual knowledge and attitude, and interest in talking about sexual issues in the family. However, even with the introduction of sexual knowledge and attitudes as predictors, authoritarian parenting style still negatively predicted the level of parents’ interest in discussing sexual issues. According to the results of this study, the best parenting style for communicating with children and talking about sexual issues is the authoritative parenting style. Parents should increase their knowledge and awareness about sexual issues and learn the principles of authoritative parenting to prevent high-risk and harmful behaviors in children. A correct and accurate evaluation of an idea is conditional on genealogy, that is, the investigation of that idea's philosophical, social, and historical roots. Paying attention to the production of knowledge and empowerment and adherence to the continuation of the development of values and insights today requires the influence of the family function. The family system is relied on adjusting the identity, improving the human personality, and educating people; these factors are based on a proper education system. A rational response is important in the development of responsibility and ethics-oriented stage in the legislative system, as well as education and documentary, up-to-date scientific research. Surveys show that the equal approach in the gender education field does not accept disappointment, skewed thinking, or skewed taste. Also, documented programs make training and coordination stable to remove the concern of gender perspective in the family and society. Education, whether it challenges or perpetuates inequalities, is a significant principle requiring the drawing up of an efficient order in implementation. The regularity principle, the education coordination stages, training, and coordination between physical and mental training are important points of education unity and family stability. The findings show that coordination in the direction of the flourishing of gender characteristics and benefiting from the gifts of gender differences in the necessary opportunities and contexts is not always equal. The result of the efficiency of the research is the creation of platforms that place the subject of gender education in providing equal opportunities and the possibility of making the right choice based on inherent gender differences. The institution of the family in Iran has faced important changes during the last few decades, such as a transition from extended family to a nuclear family, an increase in marriage age, a decrease in the marriage rate, an increase in absolute celibacy, a change in criteria for choosing a spouse and increase in divorce. The purpose of this study is to present a picture of the evolution of the family and introduce theoretical approaches with an emphasis on the state of marriage and divorce. To explain the evolution of the family, three theoretical approaches have been used, "modernization theory", "second demographic transition theory" and "postmodern theory". In this study, two methods of "documentary" and "secondary analysis" were used. First, the topics related to the background, literature and research theories have been used from available scientific sources. And then, by referring to the data of the results of the censuses, the civil registration organization and the national survey report, the developments of marriage and divorce have been explained. The results showed that during the last four decades, the share of extended families has decreased and the net marriage rate has decreased, the average age of marriage and divorce rates have increased, and the criteria and methods of choosing a spouse and the attitude towards divorce have changed from traditional dimensions to modern ones. To make policies to increase the marriage rate, reduce the age of marriage and reduce the divorce rate, because the causes of most of the changes that have emerged are socio-cultural, it is suggested that instead of providing loans and facilities for marriage or issuing a directive to reduce divorce, special measures should be takenin the field of cultural issues and to change the lifestyle components in the country. Children with Down syndrome have significant limitations in various areas of their lives. Among these, daily living skills are among the areas that are important for the success of these children in living. However, a review of research evidence suggests that effective interventions such as family-based empowerment programs, have been less studied in this area. Therefore, the present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of family-based sensory-motor empowerment program on daily living skills of students with Down syndrome. The research design was semi-experimental (pretest-posttest with a control group). The population consisted of all students with Down syndrome in Kashan city in the year 2021-2022. The sample consisted of 30 students aged 8-12 years who were selected by convenience sampling method and assigned to two groups (15 experiment & 15 control). The tool included Wayland Social Development Test (1980). MANCOVA was used to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experiment and control groups in terms of all components of daily living skills (p <0.01). As a conclusion, we can suggest the family-based sensory-motor empowerment program as a suitable intervention to improve the daily living skills of students with Down syndrome. Manuscript profile

The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between parenting styles with parents’ sexual knowledge and attitude and the level of interest in talking about sexual issues with children in Shiraz. Therefore, 160 parents with children were selected by convenience sampling as a statistical sample. The relationship between each dimension of parenting styles and parents’ sexual knowledge and attitude and interest in talking about sexual issues was examined using correlation and regression analysis. The results revealed a significant negative relationship between authoritarian parenting style and interest in talking about sexual issues. There was a significant positive relationship between authoritative parenting style and sexual knowledge and attitude. Furthermore, no significant relationship was found between permissive parenting style and sexual knowledge and attitude, and interest in talking about sexual issues in the family. However, even with the introduction of sexual knowledge and attitudes as predictors, the authoritarian parenting style still negatively predicted the level of parents’ interest in discussing sexual issues. According to the results, the best parenting style for communicating with children and talking about sexual issues is the authoritative parenting style. Parents should increase their knowledge and awareness about sexual issues and learn the principles of authoritative parenting to prevent high-risk and harmful behaviors in children. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between family communication patterns and academic vitality: the mediating role of self-regulated learning strategies. The research method was correlation and structural equations. Participants in this study were 240 ninth grade male students in Behbahan, who were selected by multi-stage (relative) random sampling. The instruments used in this study were a revised version of the Fitzpatrick and Ritchie family communication patterns, the Martin and Marsh Vital Life Questionnaire, and the Pintrich and De Groot self-regulatory, cognitive, and metacognitive learning strategies scale. Confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha coefficient were used to evaluate the validity and reliability of these instruments. The evaluation of the proposed model was performed using the structural equation method. Bootstrap method was used to test indirect relationships. The results showed that the direction of dialogue has a direct positive and significant relationship with academic vitality and self-regulated learning strategies. Also, the orientation of dialogue with academic vitality through self-regulated learning strategies has a significant indirect relationship. But compliance orientation was not directly related to academic vitality and self-regulated learning strategies and this relationship was indirectly insignificant with the mediation of self-regulated learning strategies (cognitive and metacognitive) with academic vitality. Finally, self-regulated learning strategies have a significant relationship with academic vitality. Better fit of the model was achieved by eliminating non-significant paths of compliance orientation to academic vitality and compliance orientation to self-regulated learning strategies (cognitive and metacognitive). <p>The legislator, by instituting pre-divorce counseling, aimed to address unnecessary divorces under the second chapter of the Family Support Law in 2013. This paper presents a qualitative assessment of the effectiveness of this counseling based on the perspectives of couples who have undergone all stages of pre-divorce counseling. The research methodology employed phenomenology, with thematic analysis is used to analyze the interviews. The fifteen interviewees were residents of Alborz province, selected through purposive sampling. Six main themes emerged from the interview analysis: the provision of necessary solutions by the counselor, fostering compromise and continuity in marital life, seeking legal and social guidance from counselors, the impactful nature of timely counseling, the lack of effectiveness of counseling sessions in fostering compromise, and the drawbacks of the current pre-divorce counseling process. The interviewees generally unanimous in their expectation from the counseling that the counselor can create a compromise between couples, however, their attitudes toward the effectiveness of current counseling indicate dissatisfaction. This lack of satisfaction encompasses different dimensions, including the heavy costs of consultation fees and the lack of government coverage, the inappropriate timing of counseling sessions, some counselors underestimating the importance of family consolidation, and insufficient efforts to mend couples' relationships. Additionally, interviewees noted a lack of adequate expertise and experience among counselors, along with gender biases exhibited by some counselors. This research suggests a revision of the second chapter of the Family Support Law to align with the legislator's goal and eliminate the disadvantages of the current shortcomings, ultimately enhancing the efficacy of mandatory pre-divorce counseling for couples.</p> Manuscript profile

style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">Fertility as a social reality is influenced by environmental, social, political, economic, and cultural factors at the macro level. At the micro level, it is affected by the thoughts, motivations, and tendencies of people. Fundamental changes have been made in the structure and characteristics of the Iranian family in various dimensions. The decrease in fertility levels, the transition from extended families to nuclear families, and the resulting decrease in the number of children have been significant experiences for Iranian families. This change is tangible, as the fertility rate of the whole country has dropped from 2.07 in 2016 to 1.6 in 2022, which can be considered as under replacement fertility level. Currently, most provinces of the country, including Lorestan province, have low fertility rates below the replacement level (Statistical Yearbook of the Civil Registration Organization, 2023: 115).</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">According to the latest statistics from the National Statistics Center of Iran, the population of Lorestan province is 1,805,215 people. In Lorestan province, 8% of the population are children, 21% are teenagers, 17.5% are young people, 43% are middle-aged people, and 10.5% are elderly. Accordingly, 8% of the population of children cannot replace 10.5% of the province's elderly. In the next thirty years, more than 43% of the province's population will be elderly and not productive, leading to an aging province. In 2022, 15,211 marriages were recorded in Lorestan, which decreased to 14,612 last years. Additionally, in 2021, 4,215 cases of divorce were recorded in the province, and this figure decreased to 3,963, a seven percent decline last year (Iran Statistics Center, 2023).</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">Considering the <span style="mso-bidi-language: FA;">above </span>statistics and the trend of decreasing young population and increasing aging in this province, it is very necessary to address an important issue such as population rejuvenation. The population can affect the micro and macro structures of this province and society at both the individual and social levels. The lively presence of the young generation in this province can contribute to the dynamism and growth of its development through proper macro-cultural planning.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">There are a few studies on the issue in Lorestan province, and due to the decrease in childbearing in this province, it is necessary to address this important issue. Therefore, the main objective of the current research is the sociological investigation of the tendency to have children and factors related to it in Lorestan province. According to the nature of the research problem and the mentioned goals, some basic questions will be investigated in this research. The questions of this research are as follows:</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">1. What factors affect the issue of childbearing in Lorestan province families?</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">2. What are the views of couples on the issue of having children and the challenges ahead?</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">3. What solutions can be offered to increase childbearing in Lorestan province?</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA">&nbsp;</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><strong>Methodology</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">According to the nature of the research problem, a qualitative method was used to examine the issue, focusing on the study of childbearing contexts. A "semi <span lang="EN" style="mso-ansi-language: EN;">structured </span>interview" was employed for this method. The criteria for participation were limited to couples who were married and had started their life together; some had children, while others yet not had children. Samples were found in various public spaces, such as parks and recreational places, mosques, sports facilities, stores, and sanitary centers. Each interview lasted approximately 60 minutes.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">The statistical population of this research included couples living in the cities of Lorestan province who were interviewed. In this qualitative method, sampling was purposeful and theoretical. According to object, sampling being continued until "theoretical saturation." Based on theoretical saturation, 31 married people were interviewed.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">"Thematic" analysis and "coding" techniques were used to analyze the findings from the interviews. The findings were identified in three main categories. The first category refers to the semantic units that the interviewees discussed concretely and with examples. The second category is common themes, a more complex level than the first, where the related codes are presented in a specific and meaningful category. Finally, the main themes related to each category refer to the primary and fundamental factors affecting the category under investigation in the research.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><strong>Findings</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">The findings of the research, classified in eleven main themes: ideal familism, psychological and individual factors, cultural, social, economic, and political changes, attitudes and beliefs, sexual and family issues, inter-spousal relations, and epistemological perspectives on life. A healthy social, economic, and cultural condition, along with creating a sense of satisfaction and security in society, significantly affects couples' desire to have children. It is important to note that the selected subjects come from different social classes, have varying levels of education, and hold different views on the issue of having children. The married life of these couples is mostly more than five years, and the number of their children is fewer than two.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><strong>Conclusion</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">The current research sought to investigate the tendency to have children in Lorestan province and identify the factors affecting it. To better explain the research problem and examine the lived experiences of couples in the field of childbearing, a qualitative method was applied to capture their genuine experiences on this issue. The results of this research showed that various factors, such as economic, political, cultural, social, sexual, epistemic, inter-marital, and family relations, influence couples' views on having children. Undoubtedly, childbearing is a pressing issue in Iranian society and is a focal point of the current government's policies. Lorestan province is also among the regions affected by these policies. Given that Iranian society and the country's population are generally moving towards old age, it is crucial to address this issue. However, the platforms supporting childbearing should also be seriously included in the officials' agenda. It should not be forgotten that Lorestan province is one of the five most deprived provinces in the country and requires more attention in various cultural, political, and economic fields<span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA">.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">As the results of this research showed, significant and deeply rooted factors influence couples' desire to have children in Lorestan province. Cultural, economic, political, medical, and social conditions, among others, should receive more attention from both the public and officials. Additionally, due to Lorestan province's economic and political situation within the country, it should be noted that in order to succeed population policies, there must be a fundamental review and written planning to address economic, cultural, political, and health infrastructures. Without this, even with an increase in population and couples' desire to have children, the problems will not be solved. In a political perspective of several years, the situation in this province could become critical due to its disadvantaged position<span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA">.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <div style="mso-element: footnote-list;"><br clear="all" /><hr align="left" size="1" width="33%" /> <div id="ftn1" style="mso-element: footnote;"> <p class="MsoNormal"><a style="mso-footnote-id: ftn1;" title="" href="#_ftnref1" name="_ftn1"><span class="MsoFootnoteReference"><span lang="X-NONE" style="font-size: 10.0pt; mso-ansi-language: X-NONE; mso-fareast-language: X-NONE;">*</span></span></a> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt;">Associate Professor, Department of Sociology, Ayatollah Aozama <a name="_Hlk175655012"></a>Boroujerdi University, Boroujerd, Iran.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>tajbakhsh@abru.ac.ir</span></p> </div> </div> <p>&nbsp;</p> Manuscript profile

both the family and the broader social structure, evolving over time. Understanding this area is crucial for policymakers to grasp societal attitudes, perspectives, and to plan effectively based on societal conditions. The aim of this research was to extract and analyze attitudes and demands regarding the cultural component of "marriage." This component encompasses attitudes, values, and mental priorities of individuals concerning marriage. The research utilized a qualitative content analysis method, focusing on Persian-speaking users of the X social network and employing a comprehensive sampling method to analyze tweets related to marriage from September 2021 till March 2022.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><strong>Methodology</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">The research employed hermeneutic content analysis. Hermeneutic content analysis is typically used to describe phenomena when existing theories or literature are limited. This approach avoids preconceived concepts, allowing new concepts to emerge from the data. Researchers immerse themselves in the data to gain novel insights, a process known as "inductive concept formation." Data analysis begins with repeated readings to achieve a comprehensive understanding. The researchers&rsquo; initiates analysis based on their perception of the text, continuing until patterns emerge. This process often results in identifying patterns from the text and categorizing them based on similarities and differences<span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA">.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">In the pilot study, 150 keywords were manually extracted from 600 tweets related to marriage. Using machine learning, approximately 1,800 relevant tweets were identified. After an initial cleaning stage, each tweet was reviewed, and those suitable for analysis were retained, while the rest were discarded. Ultimately, 919 tweets remained for analysis. In the second stage, each tweet was summarized in one word, and these summaries were grouped into categories with key concepts (subtopics) identified. In the third step, related subtopics were analyzed and combined to extract themes. This process was repeated throughout the research. Four main themes were identified: individualism (341 tweets), life skills (211 tweets), economy (197 tweets), and tradition (170 tweets)<span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA">.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><strong><span style="background: white;">Findings</span></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">The analysis revealed that Persian-speaking users of X social network discussed a range of topics related to marriage, including individual rights, fluid relationships, independence, communication skills, self-awareness skills, spousal participation, unemployment, the social value of wealth, economic problems, women's rights, family control, marriage customs, and women's rights<span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA">.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">The central theme of these discussions is relationships&mdash;what constitutes a desirable relationship and its qualities. The concept of relationships discussed extends beyond formal, registered marriages to include informal relationships, friendships, cohabitation, emotional and sexual partners, <span lang="EN" style="mso-ansi-language: EN;">concubine (motteh)</span>, long-distance relationships, and virtual relationships. Four main themes emerged from the analysis: individualism, life skills, economy, and tradition<span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA">.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">&ldquo;Individualism&rdquo; emphasizes the value of the individual as a person with rights and opinions. Sub-themes of individualism and personal preservation were grouped under this broader theme. &ldquo;Life skills&rdquo; refer to psychological and social abilities that enable individuals to manage themselves effectively, including communication skills, self-awareness skills, and spousal participation<span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA">.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">The &ldquo;economy&rdquo; theme highlighted concerns such as inflation, unemployment, and future uncertainties as inhibiting factors for marriage. Economic attitudes toward marriage reflect a desire for wealth acquisition through clever and inexpensive means, aligning with consumer capitalism. &ldquo;Tradition&rdquo; involves societal customs, norms, and restrictions regarding marriage, including family control, marriage customs, and women's rights. The main criticism is that traditions limit individual freedom and personal opinions. While individuality and personal choice are highly valued today, past customs are not widely accepted by newer generations who advocate for equal rights and responsibilities based on personal views rather than traditional norms<span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA">.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;" align="center">&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><strong>Conclusion</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;">The discourse on marriage on social network X aligns with Bauman's theory of liquid relationships and Saroukhani's theory of personalization. Liquid relationships refer to short-term, non-committal relationships outside the framework of formal marriage, where commitment is minimal. Analysis of tweet content shows that preserving individuality and the power of choice are top priorities for users. They make decisions based on personal preferences and circumstances, free from overarching narratives. However, these liquid relationships may lead to psychological insecurity and intensified individualism, potentially alienating the family from its emotional and generational functions as a social institution, thereby endangering societal health.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" dir="RTL" style="margin-right: 25.5pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%; text-indent: -17.0pt; mso-pagination: none; direction: rtl; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span dir="LTR" style="color: black; mso-bidi-language: FA;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;"><br style="mso-special-character: line-break; page-break-before: always;" clear="all" /> </span></p> <div style="mso-element: footnote-list;"><br clear="all" /><hr align="left" size="1" width="33%" /> <div id="ftn1" style="mso-element: footnote;"> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><a style="mso-footnote-id: ftn1;" title="" href="#_ftnref1" name="_ftn1"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt;">*</span></a><span style="font-size: 10.0pt;"> PhD Student in Cultural Sociology, Tehran <a name="_Hlk175653928"></a>Science &amp; Research Unit, Islamic Azad University, Tehran, Iran. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt;">Sheikh.zahra84@gmail.com</span></p> </div> <div id="ftn2" style="mso-element: footnote;"> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><a style="mso-footnote-id: ftn2;" title="" href="#_ftnref2" name="_ftn2"><span class="MsoFootnoteReference"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt;">**</span></span></a><span style="font-size: 10.0pt;"> Corresponding Author: Professor of Sociology Department, Tehran Science &amp; Research Unit, Islamic Azad University, Tehran, Iran.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt;">b.saroukhani@yahoo.com </span></p> </div> <div id="ftn3" style="mso-element: footnote;"> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><a style="mso-footnote-id: ftn3;" title="" href="#_ftnref3" name="_ftn3"><span class="MsoFootnoteReference"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt;">***</span></span></a><span style="font-size: 10.0pt;"> Assistant Professor, Department of Women's Studies, Tehran Science &amp; Research Unit, Islamic Azad University, Tehran, Iran.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: kashida; text-kashida: 0%;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt;">kzolghadr@srbiau.ac.ir</span></p> </div> </div> <p>&nbsp;</p> Manuscript profile

<p>The family protection law has undergone changes and developments over different periods. Throughout these changes, efforts have consistently been made to address women&rsquo;s rights and issues. The most recent of these laws is the Family Protection Law approved in 1391-Shamsi year. This law was approved based on the format and principles specified in the Family Protection Law of 1353. This research employs a descriptive and analytical method to explore this issue. It concludes that the approval of the Family Protection Law of 1391 has resulted in greater attention to the rights of women and families. It has also resolved some ambiguities and contradictions in the procedure of handling family cases and includes provisions that favor women, although it overlooks women in certain areas.</p> Manuscript profile

<p>One of the most fundamentalneeds of any society for its survival is the reproduction of the generations. The issue of women, as a vital part of human society, deserves the same level of scrutiny and deep analysis as the human condition itself. Any analysis of women's life dimensions, excluding gender characteristics, equates to an analysis of human life. Therefore, understanding a woman's status and dignity is essentially understanding human dignity. It is also indisputable that knowledge of oneself is a benchmark for other knowledge. Considering that half of the population consists of women, and they play crucial roles in various societal domains, including the family and child-rearing, which form the foundation of society, addressing women's issues as social and human capital is of utmost importance. If women shy away from marriage and childbearing, the population will decline, and the human race will face the risk of extinction. This study examines women, family, childbearing, and strengthening the position of motherhood from the perspective of the Holy Qur'an using the library research method and an analytical-descriptive approach. The findings indicate that attention to women's intrinsic qualities, gender justice, and social security in society can significantly impact childbearing and family dynamics. Conversely, the major obstacle is the adherence to feminist thinking, which can undermine the roles of motherhood and childbearing.</p> Manuscript profile
