In today’s competitive market, companies must work closely with their customers and suppliers if they want to survive and improve their own performance and to provide a better response to market forces. In a typical supply chain, information flow is more important than the other two involved flows including material flow and cash flow. It can be lead to enhance organizational knowledge. The main purpose of the research, is to identify, analyse and improve the performance of an assembly line using simulation techniques. Many factors, such as setup time, operating time, failure rate, repair rate, and production rate, can cause data to be non-stationary. Therefor, in order to analyse such complicated systems it is necessary to apply simulation techniques. The most important properties of an assembly line including bottlenecks, cycle time, buffers capacities, and the number of finished products in a given time period are investigated in the research. After data gathering, and building an appropriate simulation model, the simulation experiments were done with Enterprise Dynamic software. The simulation model is implemented and tested against real-world data and is demenostrated by a numerical example. Then, the bottlenecks and performance measures including throughput time and waiting time are identified and analysed in order to develop a new scenario in which opportunities for improvements are presented. The results show significant improvements in terms of reducing waiting time and increasing efficiencies. Manuscript profile

Manufacturing company’s decisions regarding the quantity of production and inventory is a production planning and inventory control problem. Decisions about transferring products are expressed as a transportation and routing problem. Considering these three problems together results in an integrated production-inventory-routing planning (PIRP) which is one of the important supply chain problems. Companies which solve their PIRP problems better can decrease the cost of their products and gain more competitive advantage compared to other competing companies. Based on today’s strict regulations, companies must take into account environmental considerations in addition to economical ones in all their processes, from production until supply. Thus, an appropriate transportation planning can prevent the excessive increase in costs and decrease environmental pollution. Therefore, this study integrates the problem of decreasing environmental pollution with PIRP and develops a green PIRP (GPIRP) problem which efficiently considers the economic and social dimensions of production and supply. This problem is modeled in an integrated manner using the MILP approach. In order to show the applicability of the developed model and its practicability of environmental aspect, a case study is conducted on Ahvaz Sugar Refinery, Iran. Finally, some managerial insights are derived from the computational results. Manuscript profile

In recent years, "technology-based start-ups" have attracted the attention of many researchers and policymakers in various countries as the engine of rapid economic growth. The high growth rate of job creation, sales, exports and capital of these companies, and especially their role in creating high-quality job opportunities, has put these companies in the spotlight of policymakers in many countries around the world. Banks are recognized as an important institution in financing, which will help improve the financing and credit process of technology-based companies by providing banking facilities and will somehow survive them. However, in recent years, despite the economic problems of banks, financing companies has faced many challenges, so considering the importance of financing technology companies in the country, as well as the diversity and range of experts involved, in this article in order to deal with conflicting perspectives and achieve common vision to organize and manage more effectively and efficiently, a combination of soft systems (SSM) methodology and a critical innovation systems (CSH) approach has been used. After explaining the common points of the two approaches, we will reach a common and radical definition of the problems of the credit network in the country's banking system by conducting in-depth interviews with specialists and experts in this field. After reviewing the processes governing the credit system of technology companies in the banking industry using the approach of critical innovative systems and after criticizing the situation and the state of "is" and "should" and new requirements to improve the current situation, the criteria for improving the process should be extracted. Anti-fragility allows the organisation to place itself in a position to benefit from the unknown. The purpose of this study is to identify and evaluate the indicators affecting the Anti-fragility of the insurance industry supply chain and to determine the causal relationships between these indicators. This study has been conducted through an exploratory mixed-method. The Delphi method and the Gray-DEMATEL technique have been utilized in this study. Insurance companies must implement indices, methods, and mechanisms to promote the anti-fragility of their supply chain, though simultaneous attention to all indices is impossible and uneconomic. Therefore, deciding which indices have priority in investment can be accomplished using the research findings and determining the significance of each index, as well as the causal relationships between them. According to the results of the Delphi method, 49 indices for anti-fragility of the supply chain insurance industry, hereunder the eight main processes, have been extracted. Study results also revealed that in order to lead the supply chain insurance industry towards anti-fragility, the "knowledge and information management" and "risk management" processes should at first be considered. According to expert opinions, the "management information system" and "knowledge management implementation" indices have been selected as the most causal indices of anti-fragility of the knowledge and information management process, while the indices of "risk strategy development" and "using the risk database" have been chosen as the most causal indices of risk management anti-fragility. Current researches on supply chain management (SCM) in manufacturing industries are not directly applicable to construction industry. The application of SCM in the construction industry is associated with serious difficulties such as transient nature and uniqueness of construction projects, coordination problems, unrepeatable interactions and contextual differences in the manufacturing and construction industry. One of the models with the capability of complexity management is viable system model (VSM) which is rooted in organizational cybernetics. The model states that in order to achieve viability, each organization must perform certain activities and certain relationships must be established between these activities. VSM, employed to diagnose a supply chain of an Iranian Petrochemical Construction project based on the proposed methodology that includes three steps, case study selection, system identification and system diagnosis. This led to a model development as well as identification of the weaknesses of the construction supply chain (CSC). The validity of the research methodology and findings has been confirmed through multiple qualitative criteria. The research innovation is application of VSM to diagnose a CSC in combination with case study method in order to design a model and accordingly identification of the weaknesses and bottlenecks over the whole model via a systemic approach. This research identified and mapped a model of critical factors to realize the green supply chain of tourism industry. Studying the literature and research background, effective factors on the emergence of the green supply chain were identified. In the quantitative phase, 100 stakeholders from the tourism industry were selected and were surveyed to identify critical factors in the green supply chain of the tourism industry. Questionnaires were used for data gathering. To analyze the research data, using the statistical analysis and t-test, the coefficient of the significance of the components was determined. To prioritize the indicators and their cause and effect, the Fuzzy Dematel technique was used in the second phase. The results of the analysis showed that all of the 33 identified factors were critical and essential. The analysis of the factors influencing the management of suppliers showed that among the 6 factors, the following three were root causes of the green supply chain: a) providing encouraging services to the supplier to pay attention to and protect the environment; b) considering the environmental characteristics as Quality Requirements Provider; and c) holding meeting with Suppliers. Meanwhile, three other factors are short-term goals in the green supply chain. They included: a) helping suppliers to solve their environmental problems; b) paying attention to environmental principles and adhering to them in holding tenders; and c) efforts to reduce environmental impacts through the timely delivery of supply commitments. As one of the top ten industries in the world, tourism plays an important role in the economic cycle, contributing significantly to revenue generation and currency earning. Therefore, this study sought to identify and develop a conceptual model for managing the green supply chain in the tourism industry of Fars province using the grounded theory-based qualitative approach. To this end, the required data were collected through document analysis and interviews with 20 experts who were selected via the snowball sampling method. Moreover, the validity of the study was examined and confirmed by the interviewees and the expert professors. Finally, the collected data were coded through the open coding, axial coding, and selective coding methods and analyzed via the continuous comparison method, based on which the qualitative model of the study was designed. Accordingly, 120 open codes were extracted from the transcribed version of the interviews, which were then organized in terms of 21 axial codes via MAXQDA software, including causal conditions (green processes, customers and other external institutions, green innovation), contextual conditions (driving forces involved in green materials supply, implementation of the waste management system, financial thoughts, and the organization’s costs), intervening conditions (environmental management approaches, green supply chain risks, green suppliers' capabilities, human resources management), phenomenon-based conditions (the improvement of environmental performance, economic factors, operational performance), strategies (management, technology, economics, policy-making), outcomes (green supply chain enablers, credit enhancement, institutionalization of technology equipment and technical knowledge, energy management and optimization). Sustainable consumption and production patterns (SCP) play a crucially important role in the sustainable implementation of all economic activities. Therefore, this study specifically sought to develop a structural model to assess the driving forces involved in establishing a sustainable consumption and production pattern and to improve the sustainable aspects of the supply chain in tourism. To this end, first, fourteen consumption and production-related factors were selected and developed using the relevant literature and the experts’ views. Then, the collected data were analyzed using the Gray Relational Analysis, considering the fact that this model helps identify the causal relationships between the selected stimuli and assess the power of their mutual interactions. According to the study’s findings, ten influencing driving forces and four influenced ones were identified as the factors involved in establishing a sustainable consumption and production pattern in the tourism industry. Accordingly, the highly influential driving forces that readily affect other driving forces were identified as the "Government policies and regulations for developing an integrated system of sustainable consumption and production", "The managerial Support and involvement in implementing a sustainable consumption and production pattern", "Initiatives and advertising campaigns developed by various tourism enterprises for implementing a sustainable consumption and production pattern", and “Gaining market advantage and improving the overall performance in the industry". Identifying the causes and effects involved in implementing a sustainable consumption and production pattern in tourism’s supply chain, the findings of this study can help managers easily analyze relevant issues in this regard and thus enhance their overall performance by recognizing the cause and effect driving forces. Supply chains have evolved over time from improving supply-side processes to meeting customer needs and value chains. The fact that the tourism industry's customers want to get an integrated product requires an interactive framework for value creation among different stakeholders, the realization of which has always faced some barriers. As the Internet and the development of the tourism's electronic supply chain provide an interactive platform for integration, this study sought to identify the factors involved in the integration of the supply chain and to find out how to create value through the chain. To this end, a framework was proposed based on the categories, sub-categories, and concepts presented in previous studies using the meta-synthesis method. Having reviewed 175 abstracts, t119 items were examined in terms of the Critical Assessment Skills Program checklist, and 35 items were investigated in terms of their content. The study's findings indicated that different types of internal and external drivers and barriers affected the macro environment, chain, and different aspects of internal integration, suppliers (external), and customers. Therefore, it could be argued that the integration of the supply chain and co-creation of value leads to value creation for all stakeholders and that the electronic supply chain provides the interactive grounds for integration, co-creation, and value creation. New technologies can transform the agricultural industry as well as any other industry. The final goal of the research is to identify and stratify the factors affecting the development of emerging technologies in agriculture with a supply chain approach. The research method is mixed and initially, the components of emerging technologies in agriculture are identified through literature and semi-structured interviews with experts. Interviews were coded with three methods of open, central and selective coding, and finally 34 components and 182 indicators were identified based on central coding and in the quantitative part a structural-interpretive model to present the model of emerging technologies in agriculture using ISM according to the opinions of 15 people. It was created by the experts of Tarbiat Modares University. After that, to identify the position of the identified components, it was determined using MICMAC based on influence and dependence. The obtained results of emerging technologies in agriculture are formed in six levels including the central category, contextual factors, causal conditions, intervening conditions, strategies and finally, consequences. The findings of the research show that by using interpretive structural modeling, the location of various factors in the dispersion map of the variables was analyzed, from which the position of the key variables can be recognized. From the state of the scatter plot of variables affecting new technologies in agriculture, it has been observed that the system is unstable Manuscript profile

Today, many governments around the world are increasingly leveraging advances in information and communication technologies to provide electronic services to their citizens. But estimates indicate that e-government projects will fail miserably, both in part and in whole. Incomplete formation and poor supply chain performance are the most important reasons for the failure of these projects by researchers. Due to the fact that few studies have been conducted in the field of e-government service supply chain and its performance evaluation indicators, this study has studied the e-government service supply chain in Iran by studying the e-customs system. Also, using SMART criteria and ELECTRE I technique, it has identified the performance evaluation indicators of this chain. This study shows that just as the principles of e-supply chain in the manufacturing sector have been proposed by researchers, this concept can be generalized to the public service sector. The results also show that unlike previous studies on performance appraisal indicators, e-government service supply chain indicators have significant differences with traditional service supply chains. The machine-made carpet supply chain faces multiple disruptions and must be resilient. To be resilient, identifying barriers holds significant importance. Previous research has examined barriers without considering the stages of supply chain resilience. In this study, barriers to supply chain resilience were identified based on the five stages of supply chain resilience, and their model was presented. The research population consisted of experts in the supply chain of the machine-made carpet industry, using judgmental and snowball sampling methods. The sample size for identifying factors based on theoretical saturation was 14, while in the modeling stage, it was 10. The results indicated 20, 20, 16, 16, and 16 barriers in each of the five stages. Variables such as lack of trust, network complexity, lack of top management commitment, cultural challenges, and low human resource competence are of high importance based on their frequency in the five stages and the roles they play, requiring special attention. To overcome these barriers, it is suggested to focus on developing information infrastructure, employing innovative technologies, conducting training courses, and enhancing human resource management systems Manuscript profile
