Reduction of the quality of the image formed by an optical system is a function of different parameters such as lens aberrations, CCD digitization errors, and the errors of system assembling. Assembling errors usually consist of two types: 1) the prism error, which is the error of non-orthogonality of the optical axis and the image plane 2) the de-centering error, which is error of not passing the lens optical axis through the center of the image plane. This paper attempts to correct the blind of the lens aberration and the de-centering error. To this end, Seidel aberrations are rewritten in the form of the modified Zernike moments based on the second kind Chebyshev polynomials as discrete functions on the Cartesian space. Then, the modified moments reformulated to model de-centered phase aberration function by considering the de-centering error. Finally, the model parameters are divided into two classes of symmetric and asymmetric ones. Then, these parameters are estimated through poly-spectral analysis, i.e., bi-coherence and tri-coherence analysis, respectively. Experimental results confirm the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed solution. Manuscript profile

Image compression is one of the important research fields in image processing. Up to now, different methods are presented for image compression. Neural network is one of these methods that has represented its good performance in many applications. The usual method in training of neural networks is error back propagation method that its drawbacks are late convergence and stopping in points of local optimum. Lately, researchers apply heuristic algorithms in training of neural networks. This paper introduces a new training method based on the Gravitational Search Algorithm. Gravitational Search Algorithm is the latest and newest version of swarm intelligence optimization approaches. In this algorithm, the candidate answers in search space are masses that interact with each other by gravitational force and change their positions. Gently, the masses with better fitness obtain more mass and effect on other masses more. In this research, an MLP neural network by GSA method is trained for images compression. In order to efficiency evaluation of the presented compressor, we have compared its performance toward PSO and error back propagation methods in compression of four standard images. The final results show salient capability of the proposed method in training of MLP neural networks. Manuscript profile

With development of digital multimedia technology and rapid growth of the Internet, illegal copy and exchange of digital multimedia sources is also spread. In such environment, copyright protection plays an essential role. In this paper a new semi- blind image watermarking algorithm for proof of ownership is proposed. At first, the original image is transformed to transform domain and the low frequency sub-band is selected to make reference image. Then, 1-level wavelet decomposition is applied to reference and grey-scale watermark images. Finally, the embedding is done by modifying the singular values of reference image’s sub-bands with the equivalent singular values of watermark’s sub-bands. In the proposed method, the reference image is needed during the extraction process, so it is called semi blind method. Robustness of the proposed method against various attacks that are applied to the watermarked image is investigated. The experimental results show that the proposed method is more robust than previous works against different attacks and the watermarked image looks visually identical to the original image. Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a progressive and irreversible disease which gradually makes patients unable to do their daily routines. Although the present treatments can not cure the disease completely, its early detection can reduce symptoms and enhance the patients’ life quality. In the current literature, using the grey matter (GM) tissue which is known as an appropriate biomarker is highly common in AD diagnosis. However, two other brain tissues known as cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and white matter (WM) seem to reveal beneficial information about the patients’ brain changes. The aim of the present study is to develop an automatic system for the early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease from structural MRI by simultaneously considering suitable features of all GM, CSF and WM tissues. A SVM-RBF classifier is trained and evaluated on the OASIS database to separate AD from healthy control (HC) subjects. The obtained results represent higher accuracy and sensitivity of the proposed algorithm in comparison with similar method. Manuscript profile

One of the important research areas in image processing is image compression. Until now, various methods for image compression have been presented, among which neural networks have attracted many audiences. The most common training method of neural networks is the error backpropagation method, which converges and stops at local optima are considered one of its most important weaknesses. The researchers' new approach is to use innovative algorithms in the process of training neural networks. In this article, a new educational method based on gravity search method (GSA) is introduced. The gravity search method is the latest and newest version of all types of collective intelligence search and optimization methods. In this method, the candidate answers in the search space are objects that are affected by the force of gravity and their positions change. Gradually, objects with better fit have more mass and have a greater effect on other objects. In this research, an MLP neural network is trained for image compression using the GSA algorithm. With the rapid development of communication technology and the expansion of the Internet and the significant increase in forgery and unauthorized copying of data, the value of marking is increasing day by day. In this paper, a new semi-blind marking method using singular value decomposition (Singular Value Decomposition) in the domain of discrete wavelet transform is presented to protect property rights. In the proposed method, first the discrete wavelet transform step is applied to the original image K and its lowest frequency subband is selected as the reference image. Then, by applying a discrete wavelet transformation step to the reference image and the reference image, the unique values of the frequency sub-bands of the converted signal image are embedded in the unique values of the corresponding sub-bands of the reference transformed image. Since in this method, a reference image is needed to recover the sign, and the original image is not needed, therefore it is called a Semi-Blind method. The resistance of the proposed method against different attacks was investigated. The results show that the proposed method is much more resistant to various attacks than similar works, and at the same time, the marked image is more transparent. Manuscript profile

The present research is about multiple head phrase and its aesthetic functions in Mehdi Akhavan Sales' poetry. The research has been conducted deductively. One of the linguistic introductory materials in Akhavan's poetry is to use multiple head phrase in order to extend the constituents of speech and to elaborate it. Establishing lexical or semantic relations between the two head of the multiple head phrase that has been made using ‘apposition’, Akhavan makes them function as the elements of foregrounding linguistic structures, and as the aesthetic elements of poetry. The main functions of such phrases in Akhavan's poems are defamiliarization, foregrounding, leading the referential language to the poetic one, and creating beauty. Some other aesthetic functions of multiple head phrase in Akhavan's poems are to lead the language of the poems to elaboration, to describe the antecedents of the appositions, and to create an aesthetic distance between reason and emotion. Stressing the main poetic function of the multiple head phrase - which is to create the illusion of identity between the entities of different types- Akhavan selects opposition among the set of "abstract entities, objects, plants, liquids', and coordinates them with their antecedents. Doing so, he provides beautiful images which rely on creating the illusion of sameness between the entities having features of different values such as: + abstract/ - abstract, + concrete/ - concrete, + plants/ - plants, + liquid/ - liquid, and etc. Manuscript profile

Simorgh and Phoenix, as mythical creatures, have different visual effects and images in every literary genres. The claim that this study seeks to prove is that these birds have many existential characteristics that any literary genre, according to its context, pays attention to, and this point is quite obvious in the transition of classical poetry to the New-Persian one. Accordingly, in order to prove this claim, the similarities and existential differences between Simorgh and Phoenix in the prominent examples of epic, mystical and modern poetry are examined, and the differences between Nima's view from this perspective is studied and analyzed as well. The present study aims to answer two fundamental questions: What changes are occurred in the image clusters of Simorgh and Phoenix in the transition from epic and mysticism to modern Persian poetry? To what extent does the poetic image of Phoenix in Nima's poem "Phoenix" represent a new look that he sought to design and expand in modern Persian poetry from the pictorial poetics point of view? The results of this study represent that Nima uses Phoenix in a symbolic structure via utilizing the familiarity of the Iranian human mind with the images of Simorgh and Phoenix. Furthermore, this time he employs the phoenix in a symbolic structure, overcoming the objectivist aspect of his poetry and presents his socio-political thought, while the aspect of the poem always prevailed in the symbolic poems before him. In addition to presenting the complete and, of course, short narration of this poem, the findings shows Nima's new attempt to replace "the image instead of the specification", thanks to the coherence of the poetic images. Since methods for sequencing machine learning sequences were not successful in classifying healthy and cancerous proteins, it is imperative to find a way to represent these sequences to classify healthy and ill individuals with deep learning approaches. In this study different methods of protein sequence representation for classification of protein sequence of healthy individuals and leukemia have been studied. Results showed that conversion of amino acid letters to one-dimensional feature vectors in classification of 2 classes was not successful and only one disease class was detected. By changing the feature vector to colored numbers, the accuracy of the healthy class recognition was slightly improved. The binary protein sequence representation method was more efficient than the previous methods with the initiative of sequencing the sequences in both one-dimensional and two-dimensional (image by Gabor filtering). Protein sequence representation as binary image was classified by applying Gabor filter with 100% accuracy of the protein sequence of healthy individuals and 98.6% protein sequence of those with leukemia. The findings of this study showed that the representation of protein sequence as binary image by applying Gabor filter can be used as a new effective method for representation of protein sequences for classification Manuscript profile

Background and Aim: One of the most important influencing factors in the lives of today's societies is visual media, which, in addition to having positive effects in reducing social harms, have a negative role in creating deviations and crimes and one of the vulnerable groups in this field are children and teenagers. This study was conducted with the aim of investigating the impact of visual media on the occurrence of deviations and crimes among children and teenagers and discussing ways to prevent it. Method: The present study was conducted using descriptive-analytical method and using documentary (library) resoureces. Results: Visual media, by getting the audience used to the events, desensitization and inattention, etc., provide the basis for learning violence from the media. Younger people are much more influenced by the media, and this is due to their realism, their incomplete cognitive ability, and their inability to relate the scenes of the program to the final result. With the development of global media outside the control of governments, such as satellites and the Internet, and providing inappropriate models, negative training, airing programs with no purpose, not paying attention to the age of the audience, and not showing the results of actions, the role of the mentioned media in the spread of crimes and deviations such as violence, running away from home, free sexual relations, and sexual addiction are undeniable, especially among young people. Conclusion: Due to the negative impact of visual media on children and teenagers in terms of creating grounds for deviance and committing crimes, it is necessary for the government, people, family and mass media to make a joint effort to deal with the content of inappropriate and replace it with healthy programs and entertainment. Image-based fingerprint verification systems have been considered as a parallel method against the minutiae-based approach. This paper proposes a training based fusion method for fingerprint verification, using likelihood ratio (L.R). In this method, the matching scores which are extracted from orientation, spectral and textural features are fused. In order to fuse these image-based features, the likelihood ratio approach has been employed. FVC2000 database has been selected to evaluate the method. Also, the proposed method has been compared to a similar one that uses the simple sum as its fusion system. The comparison results show that the proposed fusion method has made a significant improvement for the accuracy of matching system, so that the equal error rate (ERR) of proposed system has been reduced to 0.14%. Due to the rapid growth of digital libraries, digitizing large documents has become an important topic. In a quite long book, similar characters, sub-words and words will occur many times. In this paper, we propose a sub-word image clustering method for the applications dealing with large uniform documents. We assumed that the whole document is printed in a single font and print quality is not good. To test our method, we created a dataset of all sub-words of a Farsi book. The book has 233 pages with more than 111000 sub-words manually labeled. We use an incremental clustering algorithm. Four simple features are extracted from each sub-word and compared with the corresponding features of each cluster center. If all features' differences lie within certain thresholds, the sub-word and the winner cluster center are finely compared using a template matching algorithm. In our experiments, we show that all sub-words of the book are recognized with more than 99.7% accuracy by assigning the label of each cluster center to all of its members. Manuscript profile

Color is an important feature to describe object in visual tracking. Color-based histogram is used to model the object properly and Bhattacharya distance is also used to measure the error between reference and candidate histogram. Particles filter estimate position of target while two-dimension affine transformation is used as state of the system. Considering geometric properties of affine transformation as affine group cause two-dimensional mapping of the object to be closer to the real three-dimensional model. Approximation of optimal importance function of particles filter is obtained from Taylor expansion of Bhattacharya distance. Experiments show the accuracy and stability of the proposed tracker for fast and complex movement of a color target versus the gray level geometric particle filtering algorithm. Manuscript profile

The main purpose in various methods of image registration is to find the transformation parameters for accurate mapping an image onto another image coordinates. In medical sciences creating a precise mapping between medical images data is very important in application such as diagnosis and treatment. Accordingly, several approaches have been proposed for image registration. The compression of results and performance between different image registration algorithms was the main motivation for this research to design and implement a new hybrid algorithm so that provide high accuracy in multimodal image registration. Automating the image registration process by using machine learning approach is the innovation of this method compared to previous ones. To this end, the proposed method which is named multi resolution learning is composed of multi resolution decomposition and a hierarchical neural network which it learn the transformation parameters by using global properties of the image and uses learned transformation parameter for image registration. In this paper, a new method for resolution enhancement of single document images is presented. The proposed method is example based using an example set of low-resolution and high-resolution training patches. According to the Bayes rule, one function is considered as the likelihood or data-fidelity term that measures the fidelity of the output high-resolution to the input low-resolution image. As well, three other functions are considered as the regularization terms containing the prior knowledge about the desired high-resolution document image. Three priors which are fulfilled by the regularization terms are bimodality of document images, smoothness of background and text regions, and similarity to the patches in the example set. By minimizing these four energy functions through the iterative procedure of asynchronous sequential gradient descent, the HR image is reconstructed. Instead of synchronous minimization of the linear combination of these functions, they are minimized in order and according to the gradual changes in their values and in the updating HR image. Therefore, determining the coefficients of the linear combination, which are variable for input images, is no longer required. In the experimental results on twenty document images with different fonts, at different resolutions, and with different amounts of noise and blurriness, the proposed method achieves significant improvements in visual image quality and in reducing the computational complexity. In this method, a path of pixels with lowest energy, called seam, crossing from top to bottom or from left to right in an image is extracted. By removing or inserting seams, size of the image can be changed. Speed and quality are two main parameters in seam carving. In this paper a new method for speed enhancement of seam carving is proposed. The input image is decomposed into odd and even subimages and searching for seams is performed in parallel in these subimages. Compared to the original seam carving, the proposed method improves the speed at least by two times while maintain image’s quality unchanged. In this paper, we propose a self-learning single image super-resolution. In our proposed method, adjacent pixels information in smooth area is used. Low and high-resolution pyramids are built by applying up-sampling and down-sampling techniques on input image, as training data. In training phase, we apply support vector regression (SVR) to model the relationship between the pair of low and high-resolution images. For each patch in the low-resolution image, sparse representation is extracted as a feature vector. In this paper, in order to reduce the edge blurring effects, we first separate edge pixels from non-edge pixels. In the smooth area, because of the similar colors around the each pixel, the center pixel value is determined by considering the reconstructed adjacent pixels. Experimental results show that the proposed method is quantitatively and qualitatively outperform the competitive super-resolution approaches. Manuscript profile

Nowadays, one of the most important issues in the field of image processing is image de-blurring. De-blurring of an image can be achieved via two different approaches; blind de-blurring and non-blind de-blurring. In blind de-blurring, the kernel by which the blur has occurred is assumed unknown, while in non-blind de-blurring, this kernel is given. In blind de-blurring, the blurring kernel must be estimated in order to sharpen the corrupted image. This may increase the computational cost of the de-blurring process. Non-blind image de-blurring is an ill-posed problem with linear reverse issues. Therefore, we develop optimization problems in order to estimate the original sharp images. Usually, non-blind de-blurring methods assume that the blurring kernel is error-free, however, in practice our knowledge of the PSF is uncertain. Hence, in this paper, we use a semi-blind method for de-blurring the blurred image that is robust to this uncertainty. The proposed robust optimization model is followed by a filter for image de-blurring that can attain the solution with lowest possible error in the worst case scenarios, that is, the maximum uncertainty about the blurring kernel. Based on the simulation results, our proposed semi-blind model yields more than 4 dB PSNR improvements compared to conventional blind image de-blurring methods. Manuscript profile

Removing noise from hyperspectral images is an inevitable step to improve the quality of these types of images. Many methods have been proposed by researchers in this field. Most of these methods do not address simultaneous spatial-spectral similarities. When the noise removal method applies data globally without regard to spatial-spectral similarities, it usually has a negative effect on low-level pixels; when in the spectral data, a large number of pixels have little noise and a small number of pixels are destroyed by the high level of noise. In this paper, we first extract spatial-spectral similarities in images by defining cluster-based latent variables. In the following, a low-rank matrix factorization method based on these latent variables is proposed to eliminate the noise of hyperspectral images and to improve the resistance to noise (as compared to other methods). The performance of the proposed method is compared visually with six new methods on real noise-contaminated images. For quantitative comparison, the same experiments are done on clean images combined with six types of simulated noise. The simulation results show that by applying latent variables in the Bayesian inference framework, the performance of the noise removal method is improved and the proposed method performs better than the other methods. Impulse noise is one the common noises which reduces the performance of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) in image classification. Preprocessing for removal of impulse noise is a costly process which may have a destructive effect on the training and validation of the convolutional neural networks due to insufficient improvement of noisy images. In this paper, a convolutional neural network is proposed which is robust to impulse noise. Proposed CNN classify images corrupted by impulse noise without any preprocessing for noise removal. A noise detection layer is placed at the beginning of the proposed CNN to prevent the processing of noisy values. The ILSVRC-2012 database is used to train the proposed CNN. Experimental results show that preventing the impact of impulse noise on the training process and classification of CNN can increase the accuracy and speed of the network training. The proposed CNN with error of 0.24 is better than other methods in classification of noisy image corrupted by impulse noise with 10% density. The time complexity of O(1) in the proposed CNN for robustness to noise indicates the superiority of the proposed CNN. Manuscript profile

In forensic dentistry, age is estimated using dental radiographs. Our goal is to automate these steps using image processing and pattern recognition techniques. With a dental radiograph, the contour is extracted and features such as apex, width and tooth length are determined, which are used to estimate age. Optimizing the resolution of radiographic images is an important step in contour extraction and age estimation. In this article, the aim is to improve the image resolution in order to extract the appropriate area and proper segmentation of the tooth, which makes it possible to estimate age better. In this model, due to the low resolution of radiographic images, in order to increase the accuracy of extracting the desired area of each tooth (ROI), the image resolution increases using spatial entropy based on the spatial distribution of pixel brightness, along with another increasing resolution method, like the Laplacian pyramids. Increasing the resolution of the image leads to the extraction of appropriate ROI and the removal of unwanted areas. The database used in this study is 154 adolescent panoramic radiographs, of which 73 are male and 81 are female. This database is prepared from Babol University of Medical Sciences. The results show that by using fixed tooth segmentation methods and only by applying the proposed effective method to improve image resolution, the extraction of appropriate ROI increased from 66% to 78% which shows a good improvement. The extracted ROI is then delivered to the segmented block and the contour extracted. After contour extraction, age is estimated. The age estimation using the proposed method is closer to the manual age estimate compared to the method that does not use the proposed algorithm to increase the image resolution. Manuscript profile

Fighting forest fires to avoid their potential dangers as well as protect natural resources is a challenge for researchers. The goal of this research is to identify the features of fire and smoke from the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) visual images for classification, object detection, and image segmentation. Because forests are highly complex and nonstructured environments, the use of the vision system is still having problems such as the analogues of flame characteristics to sunlight, plants, and animals, or the smoke blocking the images of the fire, which causes false alarms. The proposed method in this research is the use of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) as a deep learning method that can automatically extract or generate features in different layers. First, we collect data and increase them according to data augmentation methods, and then, the use of a 12-layer network for classification as well as transfer learning method for segmentation of images is proposed. The results show that the data augmentation method used due to resizing and processing the input images to the network to prevent the drastic reduction of the features in the original images and also the CNNs used can extract the fire and smoke features in the images well and finally detect and localize them. In recent years, illegally copying digital images and even manipulating them, without great loss of quality and at a low cost has been made possible. Watermarking has recently been developed as one of the methods to detect that tampering has occurred and even enable some recovery of the original images. However, there are still many issues to resolve in providing an effective watermark that can detect and recover a wide range of manipulations. Furthermore, the accuracy of detecting and the capability of the recovery of the original images by existing methods are still not at an acceptable level. These problems are more critical when certain high-rate manipulation attacks occur. In this paper, a watermarking method will be introduced that not only is able to detect any tampering, but also can successfully recover the original images in high quality, even at high tampering rates. In this method, Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) is used to detect tampering and Optimal Iterative Block Truncation Coding (OIBTC) has also been applied to recover lost data. This paper proposes a powerful way to increase detection sensitivity while increasing watermark resistance for the effective recovery of corrupted images. The results prove the superiority of the proposed method over current methods.92% of tasks are executed successfully in the edge environment. Manuscript profile

One of the evaluation methods for image steganography is preserving cover image quality and algorithm imperceptibility. Placing hidden information should be done in such a way that there is minimal change in quality between the cover image and the coded image (stego image). The quality of the stego image is mainly influenced by the replacement method and the amount of hidden information or the replacement capacity. This can be treated as an optimization problem and a quality function can be considered for optimization. The variables of this function are the mappings applied to the cover image and the hidden information and location of the information. In the proposed method, by genetic algorithm and using the two concepts of targeted search and aimless search, the appropriate location and state for placement in the least significant bits of the cover image are identified. In this method, hidden information can be extracted completely and without error. This feature is important for management systems and cloud networks that use steganography to store information. Finally, the proposed method is tested and the results are compared with other methods in this field. The proposed method, in addition to maintaining the stego image quality, which is optimized based on PSNR, has also shown good performance in examining histogram and NIQE statistical criteria. Abstract In the worldview of mystical and ethical poets, image is one of the most effective strategies to express the transcendent mystical and moral concepts. Rumi, one of the most famous illustrators in the realm of mystical literature, while telling his stories and mystical and instructive and teachings in Masnavi M'anavi, has made the concepts tangible for his audience with his intelligent and artistic performance in using images. Amongst most of his poems, especially in Masnavi, nature and its phenomena have a special stance. One of the creatures that Rumi specifically illustrates and mentions in Masnavi is bee and its belongings (nectar, honey, wax and sting).Being aware of the importance of this insect in the Holy Qur'an and emphasizing on some of the most important aspects of its life, Rumi has established a link between this creature and some aspects of human life and used this insect to create real and virtual images of Masnavi to express mystical and moral concepts.Referring to Rumi's illustrations of bees in Masnavi by analyzing its imagery, this study tried to analyze the profound mystical and moral meanings and concepts hidden in these images and achieve knowledge and awareness of this creature and its images in Masnavi through their investigation and expansion. Content-based image retrieval, which is also known as query based on image content, is one of the sub-branches of machine vision, which is used to organize and recognize the content of digital images using visual features. This technology automatically searches the images similar to the query image from huge image database and it provides the most similar images to the users by directly extracting visual features from image data; not keywords and textual annotations. Therefore, in this paper, a method is proposed that utilizes wavelet transformation and combining features with color histogram to reduce the semantic gap between low-level visual features and high-level meanings of images. In this regard, the final output will be presented using the feature extraction method from the input images. In the next step, when the query images are given to the system by the target user, the most similar images are retrieved by using semi-supervised learning that results from the combination of clustering and classification based on frequent patterns mining. The Oligo-Miocene Asmari Formation is one of the main reservoir rocks of SW Iran with several decades of production history from different oil fields in the Zagros fold- thrust belt. One of the main reasons for the high quality of the Asmari reservoir is well developed fracture system in this formation. Characteristics of fractures such as type, opening and orientation can be determined by the core analysis and also interpreting the image logs. This paper attempts to compare the advantages of the image log and core analysis in detecting fractures and other geological feathers in different zones of the Asmari Formation. To achieve this goal, we have compared the image log and core of well no. 89 of the Aghajari oil field. Comparison of the core well no. 89 of the Aghajari oil field with its image log revealed distinguish of the bedding planes in the core easier and more reliable than the image log. This study demonstrates the image log is more capable than core to detect the open fractures, while it is not suitable for detecting filled fractures. Indeed, image log rarely can detect shear fractures, but if it is calibrated with core, it can detect shear fractures with reasonable accuracy. Manuscript profile

Abstract Story is a useful means to convey human aspirations, experiences, thoughts, rites, traditions and values. The Quran uses stories when it intends to fix a truth in the reader’s mind or remove a falsehood from his mind. But this by no means prevents artistic features of storytelling from appearing in Quran’s stories. In the Quran’s stories, conveying religious ideas and using an artistic style are both considered important. This paper, paying attention to the concepts and fundamental principles emphasized today in storytelling and drama, tries to identify and categorize the images and features in Surah Yusuf related to place, time, dreaming and character as much as possible. The method used is description-analytical based on the images taken from the text of the Surah. According to the findings of the research, some of the main artistic-literary features of Surah Yusuf include: presenting a clear and precise picture of the society, place, and time of the story, creativity in creating and developing the characters and human natures, presenting different portrays of a character, dialogue, describing incidents, complication, crisis making, denouement, and creating expectations. These features act in coordination as the story unfolds and help to realize its objectives. The results of the research also showed that there are common points in the contemporary story- writing principles and the story-telling in the Quran in terms of narration, style, structure and use of artistic and literary nuances and techniques. In the present study, drug treatment of HIV infection is investigated using a Data-Driven Sliding Mode Control (DDSMC) combined with a Projection Recurrent Neural Network (PRNN). The major objective is to establish the control law that eliminates the need for HIV infection mathematical formulae and ensures that the physical limits of the actuator are reached. This is accomplished by creating the concepts of model-free adaptive control, in which the relation between input and output is described using local dynamic linearized models based on quasi-partial derivatives. To determine the DDSMC law, a performance index is first defined based on the fulfillment of a discrete-time exponential reaching condition. By turning this index into a quadratic programming problem, the dynamics of the PRNN are extracted based on projection theory. The closed-loop system is explicitly determined using the optimizer output equation and the closed-loop stability analysis is evaluated using the singular value approach. The simulation results reveal that the proposed algorithm has robust performance in conducting the state variables of HIV infection to the healthy equilibrium point in the face of model uncertainty and external disturbances when compared to one of the newest control techniques. Sediment recognition is one of the basic topics in coastal and river engineering. One of the parameters of sediment identification is their grain size. To determine the grain size, traditional methods such as sieving the sediments are usually used, which is accurate but time consuming. Image processing provides the ability to isolate and track targets (sediment grains) in images using the smallest unit of a digital image (pixel). In this paper, a one-piece system for imaging coarse-grained field sediments and presenting a granulation curve is constructed and tested, in which sediment processing and analysis is performed with ImageJ software and the results are compared by sieving method and was validated. Image samples were taken from laboratory and natural sand and sand sediments. The results show that the distribution obtained from the images of coarse (larger than one millimeter) and uniform surface sediments has a good correlation with the distribution obtained from the sieve analysis and reduces the time to at least one tenth and the total cost. <p>Abstract The concept of &ldquo;home&rdquo; transcends its physical existence, manifesting as an intellectual image. In essence, a house is a place to live and reach peace and comfort. The term &ldquo;house&rdquo; encompasses two distinct aspects of meaning and concept, which are different from each other. The aspect of the house meaning is an objective reality of a place where a person resides, but the concept of the house is a mental perception. Understanding the concept of home necessitates a thorough analysis of each individual's mindset regarding their living space. The purpose of this research is a comparative assessment of the home concept among 9-10-year-old children residing in Shiraz and Nojin cities. The research methodology involves content analysis utilizing argumentative analogies along with information gathering through library and documentary studies, Persian and Latin articles, and field research. By analyzing and examining thirty samples of children's drawings from these cities, it is possible to identify the similarities and differences in their mental images of the home concept. Result of this examination and analysis is anticipated several conceptual codes can be obtained. From the summation of these conceptual codes, the home concept among the children of these cities can be found, encompassing themes such as peace, comfort, comfort, security, and prosperity.</p> Manuscript profile

<p>Visual documents, including paintings, are among the most important sources in researching the history of Iranian architecture. However, the capacities and special importance of these paintings have not been sufficiently emphasized and utilized in architectural research. Therefore, there is a need for a deeper examination and analysis of these paintings and their effects on architecture. The Herat School stands as one of the significant schools in the history of Iranian architecture. This school is capable of realistically representing the architectural spaces of the Timurid period, which is particularly important because the architecture of this period exhibits realistic and reflective features of Islamic architectural elements. In this article, the level of realism of the tile decorations in Behzad's paintings has been investigated and analyzed. The current research method is non-experimental and based on an interpretive-historical approach. In fact, by prioritizing the logic of "the possibility of extracting documents in the field" and "the extraction of images used in the documents" as inferential and indicative conditions in the logic of research evidence, random sampling has been utilized. The research structure, relying on Behzad's images and architectural concepts depicted in his paintings, begins with an introduction from this artist and then proceeds to analyze the influential real buildings in those works.</p> Manuscript profile
