Abstract :
Scholars of rhetoric emphasize the influence of rhetorical elements such as literal meaning, metaphor, simile, allegory, and metonymy in explaining concepts in Arabic texts, especially the Quran. Rhetoric not only plays a key role in understanding religious, ethical, historical, and social teachings, but also aids in effectively conveying these concepts to the audience. This research examines the philosophy and function of rhetoric in the Quran, showing how the use of metaphor, simile, allegory, and metonymy increases the impact and deepens the understanding of ethical and social concepts. Through rhetorical techniques, the Quran presents ethical models in a way that enables the audience to clearly comprehend and act upon them. The primary purpose of using rhetorical techniques in the Quranic verses, as highlighted in this study, is to clarify forms of ethics that are not easily understood by ordinary individuals. In situations where ethical behavior emphasizes resisting evil, oppression, darkness, and wrongdoing without seeking retaliation or imitating them in wrongful actions, the Quran emphasizes ethics as an inner understanding and highlights the innate characteristics of virtuous morals.
