During the past decades, recognition of human activities has attracted the attention of numerous researches due to its outstanding applications including smart houses, health-care and monitoring the private and public places. Applying to the video frames, this paper proposes a hybrid method which combines the features extracted from the images using the ‘scale-invariant features transform’ (SIFT), ‘histogram of oriented gradient’ (HOG) and ‘global invariant features transform’ (GIST) descriptors and classifies the activities by means of the deep belief network (DBN). First, in order to avoid ineffective features, a pre-processing course is performed on any image in the dataset. Then, the mentioned descriptors extract several features from the image. Due to the problems of working with a large number of features, a small and distinguishing feature set is produced using the bag of words (BoW) technique. Finally, these reduced features are given to a deep belief network in order to recognize the human activities. Comparing the simulation results of the proposed approach with some other existing methods applied to the standard PASCAL VOC Challenge 2010 database with nine different activities demonstrates an improvement in the accuracy, precision and recall measures (reaching 96.39%, 85.77% and 86.72% respectively) for the approach of this work with respect to the other compared ones in the human activity recognition. 2 - Broadband Low-cost Reflectarray based on a New Phase Synthesis Technique and a Class of Cross Bow-Tie Cells

In this paper, a class of Bow-tie unit cell on FR4 substrate is designed and investigated to be used in implementing a single-layer broadband Reflectarray Antenna (RA). In the analyzing step, two different parameters (length and angle) of the grounded Cross Bow-Tie (CBT) are varied to obtain the phase diagrams. Various degrees of freedom in the CBT structure are very helpful in designing a broadband RA. In the antenna design procedure, an efficient phase synthesis technique is applied to minimize the adverse effects of frequency dispersion causing by the differential space phase delay at different frequencies. This technique optimizes the metallic CBTs arrangement on the aperture of RA, and reduces the dependency of RA design to the CBT’s phase variation. Consequently, combination of the CBT’s phase behavior and the phase synthesis technique leads to designing a broadband RA with a good frequency response. In addition to, the Side Lobe Level (SLL) of the resultant RA is reduced remarkably. For validation of the obtained numerical results, an RA is designed and fabricated in 8.7~12.3GHz frequency bandwidth. The measurements show 27.03 dB as a maximum gain value at 10.2 GHz with a 1.5dB gain bandwidth of 34%. It is also shown that the implemented RA exhibits a reduced SLL (<-18dBi) within its operating bandwidth. Manuscript profile

Among the flexor tendons in the horse's limbs, the superficial digital flexor tendon is more prone to damage than the deep digital flexor tendon. SDF tendonitis is a common injury in event horses. Recovery of superficial digital flexor tendon (SDFT) injuries is slow, but re-injury is likely. SDF tendon injuries are more common in the forelimb. Flexor tendon injuries are due to strain on the tendon or a direct trauma. Tendon damage vary from inflammation and pain to complete rupture of the tendon. Injuries caused by strain are associated with swelling that require ultrasound assessment to confirm the diagnosis. Treatment for these injuries includes anti-inflammatory treatment, which is initially followed by a rehabilitation program. In cases where drug treatment is not responsive, surgical procedures including tendon splitting and superior check ligament desmotomy can be used. In this study, we briefly review the tendonitis of the superficial digital flexor tendon, etiology, clinical signs, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. Manuscript profile

The responsibility of raising children is on the shoulders of mothers both in terms of priority (quality of influence) and precedence. In all theories of growth, mothers have been mentioned as having the most influence on child. Hence, this research tries to answer questions like: How does the psychology of quality consider the influence of mother on child? How do the Quran and Hadiths describe the role of mothers and their influence on children? What are the points shared between Islamic teachings and physiology on this subject? The findings of this research indicate that psychologists like Bowlby attach importance to the role of mother after the birth while Islam considers the upbringing of children beginning with the selection of spouse, then pregnancy and then birth. In both views, the characteristics of the mother play a significant role in shaping the child’s personal and social character. Father’s role is also important, both in raising the child and, indirectly, in influencing the mother’s mental health. Manuscript profile

In the last decade, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) has evolved from a movement disorder to a complex disease that involves various factors, especially in women. Some of these factors include increased sensitivity in the internal organs. changes in the relationship between the intestinal nervous system and the central nervous system, as well as psychological and social factors. There is increasing evidence that a history of abuse and stressful life events play a role in the development of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Studies have explained the clustering of IBS with social learning mechanisms or genetic factors. This review study focuses on female patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and, based on the biological-psychological-social model, examines health beliefs, exercise, stressors, and environmental factors.
Manuscript profile
