During the last decade, the key role of information and communication technology has proven to facilitate the process of transition and change of organizations; The e-readiness is the platform for entering into the modern time and activities in the networked world ad well as competition in the market. Thus, the design of e-readiness evaluation models, regarding the internal and environmental conditions of organizations and communities with the purpose of assessing their e-readiness level is necessary. However, without the evaluation of e-readiness of the organization, activity in the networked world will be impossible and have very high obstacles. In this paper, a brief introduction of the proposed models for the evaluation of the e-readiness and their classification have been discussed. Moreover, the factors influencing the e-readiness of the small and medium-sized enterprises to enter the e-commerce market have been investigated and detected through a combination approach of Shannon entropy. In this paper, after identifying and introducting existing models; the concepts, dimensions, and indices of the research were extracted and ranked by the Shannon entropy method. The results of this study show that the first ranked factors were organizational factors. Then environmental and man power factors were ranked second and third, respectively. Manuscript profile

A lot of methodologies for evaluation of the lean transformation have been proposed in the literature, but just a few of them explicit relations among the components of the lean enterprise transformation, with focusing on the priority and identification of the relative weight of each element on the lean transformation have been considered. Therefore, we try to quantify those relations in this study. So, to structural investigate the relationships among the elements, a model is proposed that presents a novel comprehensive insight to the lean transformation process. This study proposed an analytic modeling approach in the lean enterprise transformation to identify the weights of the elements. The goal is to operationalize the highly qualitative relationships among the lean transformation components. In this paper 32 effective factors in lean enterprise transformation, identified as "sub sub criterion" were grouped into eight categories classified as "sub criterion". These eight sub criteria classified through 3 criteria in the higher level which are “organizational asset development”, “quick adaptation to markets and competitive superiority acquisition” and “supply and distribution network optimization These three criteria were proposed as the major criteria involved in "delivery value maximizing", and ultimately, the value maximizing recognized as the main target of the lean transformation in companies. Fuzzy DEMATEL technique and fuzzy analytic network process modeling are used to determine the relationships and the relative weights of each component and then with fuzzy VIKOR method, 25 identified solutions related to conceptual model were ranked for implementing the lean transformation which regard the organizational purposes and the weights of the end level parameters of the conceptual model in a proposal framework. The present evaluating lean enterprise transformation is a comprehensive model that can be applied to different production industries. This model also was investigated in automative parts industry. In this modern world, considering expansion of competition and lack of resources, everybody knows the importance of measuring of productivity and decomposition of it. Although assigned about 2.8% of value added and 8.5% of employment of large manufacturing industries, the textile industry has not respected more attention. The main goal of this paper is measuring and analyzing of individual and total factor productivity in textile manufacturing industries during period of 1994-2007. For this purpose, after extraction of production factors (labor, capital stock, material and energy), it is measured individual productivity indexes in form of quotient of value added and each of production factors. It is also computed total factor productivity via divisia index and Tornqvist function. The results show that labor productivity has grown annually 4.4% because of labor decrease especially in large firms. However capital productivity has decreased less in the studying period. On the other hand, productivity of electricity consumption and material has decreased annually 1.7% and 1.9% respectively. Total factor productivity index has grown annually 0.6% in average and this improvement mainly has achieved via labor productivity. The econometric model for decomposition of total factor productivity in the textile manufacturing industries has confirmed the positive impacts of production values, per capita wages, percentage of small firms and government expenditures. It has also confirmed the negative impacts of foreign material dependency and working only in expert field. Manuscript profile

Common terminology is essential for accurate communication among researchers, scientists, engineers, and other decision makers. To assist manufacturing process characterization, a common understanding of terminology is imperative for efficient and effective communication in industry; it can also facilitate automation and interoperability of software tools. Manufacturing process characterization enables the assessment and improvement of unit manufacturing processes, products, and systems from a sustain- ability perspective. To develop and implement sustainability-related standards and best practices in industry, naming conventions and definitions of common terms are needed. Presently, many terms used are ill-defined, vague, or overlap in meaning. Although there are ongoing standards efforts related to terminology identification and definition, an identified common set is yet to be developed. The objective of this work was to facilitate ongoing standards development efforts by harmonizing the varied array of terms used to describe production processes. As a result of a review of the literature, a concise set of 47 terms focusing on process characterization and able to describe sustainable production was generated; terms unique to individual production processes were omitted. The terms were orga- nized into six categories to define the overarching concepts: Scope, Boundary, Material, Measurement, Model, and Flow. Definitions of the terms were then derived from the literature in sustainable manufacturing and chemical and process industries, process characterization and planning, organization standards, and life cycle assessment and management. The reported terms and definitions are not unique to sustainable production, and could foster wide- spread use of the concepts to improve the economic, environmental, and social performance of industry. In the future, the terminology described could be standardized through international standards orga- nizations. Manuscript profile

In today’s world, taking advantage of social capacities and national capabilities in manufacturing handicrafts requires the application of new state-of-the-arts production techniques. In this regard, social manufacturing is an emerging phenomenon that serves as a new production ecosystem equipped with modern technologies and social networks. Therefore, this qualitative study sought to identify the requirements and challenges of applying social manufacturing to the production of handicrafts using the Grounded theory (Glaser method). To collect the required data, semi-structured interviews were made with twelve experts in the field of handicrafts and information technology who were selected through the purposive sampling method. The collected data were then analyzed using the MaxQda 10 software. On the other hand, the validity, transferability, reliability, and verifiability of the study were also measured to strengthen the findings. Finally, the collected data were analyzed through actual and theoretical coding. According to the study’s results, altering the manufacturing structure, fostering relationships with consumers, developing research and education, developing the infrastructures, and establishing production networks were identified as the main requirements of applying social manufacturing to the production of handicrafts. Moreover, the conceptual map of the study was drawn, including nine categories and twenty-nine sub-categories. The current study can fill a number of gaps existing in the application of social manufacturing in Iran. Manuscript profile
