Medical waste is a part of municipal solid waste which is classified as hazardous solid waste. One of the sources of medical waste is rural healthcare centers that are prominent because of having infectious waste. This research aims to study of medical waste in rural healthcare center, the quantity of waste and the method of waste management. This study was done in two countries of Rasht. The method was according to physical analysis and questionnaires.Total amount of medical waste in studied area is 274.3 kg/year. The amount of semi-household waste and medical waste are 75 and 25 percent, respectively. The result of questionnaires indicates lack of solid waste management system in rural healthcare centers of Rasht. The results reveal that the amount of medical waste in studied district is low. This amount is a great deal less than the amount of municipal hospital waste in other research. Although the amount of medical waste is negligible, lack of management system for medical waste separation, storage and disposal will cause undesirable impact on human and their environment. Sepsis is a complex and dynamic syndrome and it is a medical and economic challenge. To learn more about pathophysiology of this syndrome, animal models have been introduced. Poly microbial sepsis induced by cecal ligation and puncture is the gold standard model of this condition. The purpose of this study was introducing a new method of septic peritonitis with laparoscopic assisted cecal ligation and cauterization (CLC) in rabbit model. This study included two groups of adult male New Zealand white rabbits: Control group (4rabbits): exploratory laparoscopy was performed and the cecum was grasped from the distal of ileocecal valve using an atraumatic forceps and pulled out from the trocar entry site. CLC group (4 rabbits): the cecum was ligated and two sites of cecum were cauterized from antimesenteric to mesenteric surface of cecum. Before and during 24 hours after the operation, heart rate, rectal temperature and respiratory rate of rabbits were monitored. Ultrasonography, CBC, peritoneal fluid analysis and bacterial culture was checked 24 hours after the surgery. Statistical analysis of the data in CLC group rabbits showed a significant increase in heart rate 6 and 18 hours after surgery (tachycardia) and increase in respiratory rate from 6 to 24 hours after surgery (tachypnea). In addition, a significant decrease in glucose of serum was observed. Bacterial culture was positive and peritoneal analysis of all rabbits in CLC group indicated the presence of bacteria and infection. Manuscript profile

In the present study, drug treatment of HIV infection is investigated using a Data-Driven Sliding Mode Control (DDSMC) combined with a Projection Recurrent Neural Network (PRNN). The major objective is to establish the control law that eliminates the need for HIV infection mathematical formulae and ensures that the physical limits of the actuator are reached. This is accomplished by creating the concepts of model-free adaptive control, in which the relation between input and output is described using local dynamic linearized models based on quasi-partial derivatives. To determine the DDSMC law, a performance index is first defined based on the fulfillment of a discrete-time exponential reaching condition. By turning this index into a quadratic programming problem, the dynamics of the PRNN are extracted based on projection theory. The closed-loop system is explicitly determined using the optimizer output equation and the closed-loop stability analysis is evaluated using the singular value approach. The simulation results reveal that the proposed algorithm has robust performance in conducting the state variables of HIV infection to the healthy equilibrium point in the face of model uncertainty and external disturbances when compared to one of the newest control techniques. Septic arthritis is an important cause of lameness in cattle and calves and delay in treatment, can lead to early culling, a decrease in production, and economic losses in herd. Although responsible for septic arthritis but can also be caused by other microorganisms. This condition occurs when joint space affects by invasion of various microorganisms. Failure of transfer of passive immunity, penetrating wounds, septicemia, and therapeutic or diagnostic interventions are the causes of septic arthritis. Lameness, joint effusion, pain, and fever are the most important of clinical signs of septic arthritis. One or more joints may be affected. Complete physical examination, synovial fluid and blood analysis, and imaging studies techniques are used as diagnostic tools for septic arthritis. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment of septic arthritis are necessary to improve prognosis. Treatment strategy of septic arthritis includes antimicrobial therapy, anti-inflammatories, and joint lavage. Pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of septic arthritis are described in this article. Manuscript profile

Aim and Background: Today, more opportunistic human pathogens, including bacteria that cause urinary tract infections, are more resistant to a wide range of antibiotics, it making more difficult to treat them. Materials and Methods: In this study, Prodigiosin pigment was extracted from Serratia marcescens bacteria and its antimicrobial effect was evaluated on a number of urinary tract bacteria collected from Tehran's medical diagnostic laboratories. Results: The results of this study showed that this pigment has been most diameter of inhibition zone for Staphylococcus saprophyticus and then the genus Enterococcus in every three methods of disc diffusion test, well diffusion and MIC. Discussion: This study showed that with due attention to the antimicrobial effect of Prodigiosin pigment, this microbial pigment could be a good alternative to chemical drugs in the future. Conclusion: The results obtained in this study showed that Prodigiosin pigment has antimicrobial effect on gram positive bacteria more than gram negative bacteria. Manuscript profile
