Despite the importance of social safeness, little research has provide a causal explanation. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to introduce a causal explanation of the social safeness based on neuroticism and the satisfaction and frustration of basic psychological needs among a group of undergraduate students at Shiraz University. Participants were 291 (170 girls) during 2020-21 academic year, who were selected using a multi-stage random cluster sampling method. They completed the Costa and McCrae neuroticism scale (1992), basic psychological needs satisfaction and frustration scale Chen et al. (2015), and social safeness and pleasure scale Gilbert et al. (2009). The validity and reliability of the research scales were evaluated and confirmed using confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha coefficient. For analyzing the research model, path analysis and Amos 24 software was used. Also, the results showed that the research model fits well with the data collected. Findings showed that neuroticism predicted social safeness indirectly (Through the mediation of the basic psychological needs satisfaction and frustration). In general, the results of this study indicate that social safeness planning requires attention to both personality traits and the situations created by these traits, such as the satisfaction and frustration of basic psychological needs. The results are discussed based on research and theoretical evidence. Manuscript profile

Today, increasing awareness about tunnel construction has led to improved working conditions in underground workshops, so that the number of deadly and dangerous accidents has been significantly reduced. The safety officer is appointed as the supervisor and controller of the operation and compliance with the provisions of the bylaws and other bylaws approved by the High Council for Technical Protection. Underground work environments have specific and unique hazards in which active personnel must be aware of these hazards. These accidents must be identified in the workshop safety plan and the necessary predictions made. Roofs, walls, and worktops on different fronts of the tunnel should be inspected regularly. All access routes and unauthorized entrances in underground tunneling operations must be securely blocked and marked with warning signs. It is necessary for the employer to provide and provide a reliable and appropriate communication system during tunneling operations and in case of emergency; Also, before starting any shift, the correct operation of the communication equipment must be ensured. Workers' protection is essential to prevent the risk of landslides when installing consolidation and maintenance systems. The support system assembly must be installed in such a way that the support support is strong enough to prevent the anchor from entering due to ground pressure and not to leave its place; Predicting the rapid installation of lateral restraints between adjacent maintenance equipment is essential to ensure greater strength and stability. Developing and presenting accurate and efficient safety regulations for tunneling workshops is essential. Observance of safety principles and regulations in underground workshops, in addition to reducing the risks that threaten human life, is also economically in the interest of society and national interests. The beginning of immunity has been associated with the creation of man. A time when nature and wild animals were considered a threat to early humans. Early humans, like other creatures, instinctively avoided danger to save their animal lives. From the psychological point of view, after the physiological needs, the need for safety, like human instincts, is considered one of the most basic human needs in the direction of his growth and prosperity. In the era when man's only tools were stone, wood, and bone, according to the type and nature of dangers, the way of avoiding them also changed, and mankind started preparing measures to deal with the dangers related to tools. Safety has been important since the beginning of human life on the planet and has changed shape throughout history. Knowing the history of safety in the world and in Iran can be a perspective for the future. Humanity has been seeking effort and activity since it has known itself, and naturally, it has gone through changes in the course of time. In the periods when human life was supported by hunting and fishing or agriculture, due to the simplicity of the tools, the complications related to the job (safety and health of the work environment) were insignificant and in most cases from a few scratches with simple wounds to maximum Fractures of limbs have not increased, but gradually as the industry progressed and mechanical and electric power was created, the risks also increased in the same proportion. With the occurrence of the industrial revolution in the years 1760 to 1830 in England and its spread to other European countries, the mechanical and electrical driving force was created. These transformations also had negative aspects, the most important of which are industrial accidents, noise, environmental pollution and air pollution. Regarding the prevention of industrial accidents, it should be acknowledged that mankind has accumulated a lot of painful experience. Manuscript profile
