The goal of this study was to investigate the relationship between scientific globalization of higher education with students’ academic achievements of Semnan University. Present study is a practical research on the basis of purpose and is a type of descriptive-correlative researches on the basis of data collection method. Statistical population includes all the undergraduates and masters of Semnan University (13000 people) in the academic year 1396-97. Participants were 230 undergraduates and masters of Semnan University (162 undergraduates and 68 masters) who were selected using stratified random sampling method. All the participants completed the questionnaires of scientific globalization of higher education and academic achievements. The data was analyzed by one-sample t-test, correlation coefficient, structural equation model and SPSS and LISREL software. The results indicated that the mean of the importance of the dimensions of scientific globalization of higher education has been evaluated at the desirable level and the mean of students’ academic achievements has been evaluated at a relatively desirable level. There is a significant relationship between students’ academic achievement with international scientific collaborations, global scientific community, increase the speed of scientific development, formation of universal thinking, and social development of academics. Scientific globalization of higher education with regression coefficient of 0.33 has a positive and significant effect on students’ academic achievement. According to findings of the study, in order to enhance the students’ academic achievement in the direction of scientific globalization of higher education, first universal thinking must be shaped in higher education and then, a global scientific community must be formed, the speed of scientific development should be also increased and finally international scientific collaboration with higher education should be provided. The present study aims at investigating psychometric properties of Future Time Perspective Scale (FTPS) among a sample of senior high school students and to determine its role in predicting their academic achievement. To this end 527 senior high school students in Karaj (city in Alborz Province) during the school year 2015-2016, were chosen using stratified proportional sampling and completed a questionnaire which consists of Future Time Perspective Scale (FTPS) and futurist present subscale. Exploratory factor analysis demonstrated that the structure of Future Time Perspective Scale (FTPS) after varimax rotation was clearly indicated the existence of four independent factors that is almost consistent with Husman and Shell (2008) classification of the items but second-order confirmatory factor analysis showed insignificant factorial load of extension component on future time perspective construct. Therefore, we can conclude that future time perspective of Iranian students only consist of three components: connection, value and speed. The results indicated acceptable reliability of FTPS. Regression analysis showed that these three factors significantly predict student's academic achievement. Manuscript profile

Background and Aim: Education is one of the most important aspects of children's rights and so the quality of its implementation plays an important role in securing this right. This issue has a particular importance and sensitivity for children with special needs. With the spread of the Corona pandemic in the world, the need for distance education became inevitable. In Iran, distance learning, including at the basic level, was formed using ‘Shad’ software, which is still current in many primary schools. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of this type of education on the educational achievement of children with special needs. Method: In this study, using a descriptive survey method and a researcher-made questionnaire based on the Academic Achievement Questionnaire adapted from Pham and Taylor's 1994 research, the statistical population, teachers of Shahed Fardis Exceptional School of Karaj was selected and data analysis was performed. Chi-square test and Friedman test were used with Spss software version 24. Results: The findings showed that the effect of ‘Shad’ software in distance education is positive in terms of software efficiency and effectiveness compared to other methods of distance education and also by creating a specific program to prepare for assessments; However, due to the absenteeism of education, the overall outcome of the comments was a negative impact on students' academic achievement compared to the attendance method at the end of the year. Also, this type of education can have a negative impact on academic achievement by reducing performance during face-to-face assessment, reducing literacy skills, and distracting students due to being at home. Conclusion: Distance education, especially with the elimination of hardware and software defects, as well as cultural placement and mutual understanding of teachers, parents and students, is an opportunity in some respects to increase academic achievement, but face-to-face education, as well, due to its functions, should still be considered and emphasized by the educational system. Education is defined as the creation of learning environments in which the activities required by learners to build knowledge and thinking ability are maximized. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between learning styles and academic progress and stress of fifth grade elementary school students in Yasouj. The statistical population of the research included 100 male and female students of the fifth grade of Yasouj elementary school in the academic year of 1400. The research method was a descriptive survey, and the data collection tool was a questionnaire of learning styles and students' academic grades. The data was analyzed using the statistical methods of Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression. The results showed that learning style has a significant relationship with students' academic progress. Based on this finding, we conclude that learning style and academic progress are completely interdependent.. Manuscript profile

The purpose of this research was to investigate the popularity of teachers among elementary school students and its role on their academic progress in Yasouj city. In terms of the purpose, the present research is an applied research; In terms of the method of collecting data and information and the method of analysis, it is a descriptive research and in terms of the method of implementation, it is a survey type. The statistical population of this research also includes all the elementary school students of Yasouj city, whose number was equal to 4000. Among these, 348 students were selected as the research sample by simple random sampling method, and a researcher-made questionnaire was used in order to study the objectives of this research. The content validity of this questionnaire has been confirmed by Khabar Regan in this field and its reliability was also confirmed with the help of Cronbach's alpha test. At the end, the results of the research questionnaire were analyzed with the help of t-test and linear regression. The results showed that the level of popularity of teachers and academic progress among elementary school students in Yasouj city is at a favorable level (p<0.01). Also, the results showed that there is a significant relationship between the popularity of teachers and the academic progress of elementary school students in Yasouj city (p<0.01).
The present study examined the impact of collaborative learning on social self-efficacy and academic achievement of female students in the Qur'an lesson of multi-grade classes. The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design and a control group. To measure the variables, Ladd and Wheeler's social self-efficacy questionnaire and the academic achievement test in the Qur'an lesson were used. Two classes were selected through convenient sampling, one was as the experimental group (n=15) and the other as the control group (n=15). Pre-tests were administered to both groups using the academic achievement test and the social self-efficacy questionnaire. The experimental group received Qur'an lessons through collaborative learning in 15 sessions (45 minutes), while the control group was taught using traditional methods. Post-tests were administered to both groups after the intervention period. The data was analyzed using covariance analysis. The results showed the significant superiority of the experimental group in the academic improvement in academic achievement for the experimental group in the Qur'an course, but no significant difference was observed between the groups in terms of social self-efficacy.
Manuscript profile
