Abstract :
Objective: The primary objective of this research was to critically examine and reconstruct the internship curriculum at Farhangian University, predicated on the epistemological foundations of “Tacit Knowledge” and “Embodied Knowledge.” Methodology: To achieve this aim, the study adopts a qualitative-philosophical approach, employing a “Deductive Method” (encompassing both regressive and progressive analysis). Findings: The findings indicate that the incumbent internship model at Farhangian University, which is grounded in the “Reflective Practitioner” paradigm, possesses validity regarding its situational view of learning. However, by relentlessly enforcing the conscious analysis of pedagogical knowledge, it precipitates a form of “hyper-reflective paralysis,” fostering anxiety and alienation from the dynamic, lived reality of teaching. Drawing upon Michael Polanyi and other phenomenological thinkers, the study argues that a significant portion of human knowledge is constituted through “embodied interaction” with the environment; consequently, the endeavor to subject this knowledge to rational dissection results in the neglect of its vast, ineffable dimension. Based on the theory of Embodied Knowledge, this research proposes the “Situated-Intuitive Discovery” (SID) model for the internship practicum. This model comprises three distinct phases: “Bodily Participation and Attunement,” “Intuitive Action,” and “Discovery.” Through this triadic process, the aim is to immerse student-teachers in the teaching and learning situation via an embodied modality, guiding them toward pedagogical expertise by cultivating an intuitive grasp of the context. Furthermore, the model advocates superseding the requirement for continuous textual reporting with the “Phenomenological Analysis” of teaching experiences, particularly regarding the confrontation with unpredictable classroom contingencies. .
