Providing a model for increasing the participation of the non-governmental sector in the development of higher education with an emphasis on demand-oriented fields

Abstract :
Objective: This research has been done with the aim of providing a model of non-governmental sector participation in the development of higher education with an emphasis on demand-oriented fields. Necessity of research: The experience of participation of non-governmental and private sectors in higher education in different countries has had significant results for countries and applicants, and for this reason, the willingness of the private sector to invest in this field has grown appreciably. Methodology: The research method was applied according to the purpose, applied according to the type of data, mixed of the exploratory type according to the time of data collection, cross-sectional and according to the nature and method of implementation in the qualitative part of the self-emerging foundation data and in the quantitative part of the cross-sectional survey. From the statistical population of the qualitative part, 23 people with opinions in the field of higher education were interviewed by the snowball method until theoretical saturation, and in the quantitative part, among the 560 managers and employees working in the field of education of non-governmental universities of Tehran province, 234 people were determined as the sample size according to the method of Karjesi and Morgan and sampling was done by stratified random method. Qualitative data collection was done by library and field method with the help of semi-structured interview and quantitative data collection was done by field method and using researcher-made questionnaire. The use of three methods of pluralism in the method, the researcher and the participant showed that the qualitative data had sufficient validity. Also, the validity of the quantitative tool has been obtained with the help of form and content validity and the reliability of the tool with the help of Cronbach's alpha. Qualitative data analysis was done using theoretical coding method and quantitative data analysis was done by confirmatory factor analysis method. Conclusion: The obtained results showed that the model of participation of the non-governmental sector in the development of higher education with the approach of demand-oriented disciplines has 6 dimensions, 20 components and 78 indicators, which are: the quality expansion dimension of education with 4 components and 17 indicators, the financial-economic dimension with 3 component and 14 indicators, service expansion and diversity dimension with 3 components and 9 indicators, marketing and communication dimension with 3 components and 11 indicators, cultural-social dimension with 2 components and 7 indicators, infrastructure dimension with 5 components and 20 indicators. Originality: The marketing of higher education can lead to the optimization of the resource allocation behavior of different stakeholders and prevent the waste of resources. Also, if the country's universities can provide their educational and research programs to the applicants according to international standards, the problem of unemployment of many graduates and the lack of connection between the received training and the real needs of society and industry will be easily solved.
