در آموزش فضای مجازی معلمان بادانش‌آموزان خود در ارتباط هستند، و در شرایط بحرانی که امکان حضور دانش‌آموزان در مدارس مهیا نیست معلمان با تشکل گروه‌های مختلف مجازی و به تدریس و بررسی دروس می‌پردازند. ازجمله مزایای آموزش مجازی می‌توان به: مرور مطالب درسی، افزایش خودکنترلی دانش‌آموزان، عدم محدود بودن به زمان، افزایش مسئولیت‌پذیری در دانش‌آموزان، دسترسی آسان و بروز بودن و کارآمدی و سرعت‌بالای تدرسی اشاره کرد. علی‌رغم مزایای زیاد آموزش مجازی مشکلات و معایب و مشکلات فراوانی به‌ویژه در دوران کرونا و پساکرونا در آموزش مجازی وجود دارد که: اعتیاد اینترنتی دانش‌آموزان، عدم اطمینان از یادگیری مطالب، عدم نظارت بر انجام تکالیف و راستی آزمایی، ناتوانی برخی از دبیران، اولیا و دانش‌آموزان در استفاده از فضای مجازی، ناتوانی اولیا برای خرید گوشی و اینترنت، عدم دسترسی به اینترنت در زمان خاص و یا در برخی مناطق، عدم توجه به بهره‌وری، عدم توفیق برنامه‌های صداوسیما در پیشبرد آموزش و عوامل متعدد دیگر باعث شد تا نتوانیم بحران به وجود آمده را به‌خوبی مدیریت کنیم، عمیق نبودن و جدی نگرفتن آموزش مجازی، تهدید حریم خصوصی، عدم جذابیت و... ازجمله آن‌هاست.
