The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between internet dependence and intergenerational rupture in high school girls; for this purpose, 300 female high school students were selected by random cluster sampling from schools in the sixth district of Tehran. The research method was quantitative with a survey research design. "Internet Dependence" and "Parent-Child Relationship Scale" questionnaires were used to collect data. Statistical analysis of this study was performed using Pearson correlation coefficient. The results showed that there is a significant and inverse relationship between internet dependence and parent-child relationship in high school girls. As the Internet dependence increases in this sample, the father-child relationship and the mother-child relationship decrease. In addition, among the components of the father-child relationship, paternal relationship and paternal intimacy, and among the components of the mother-child relationship, positive maternal affection and maternal relationship, there is a significant correlation with internet dependence at the level (P <0.05). The purpose of this study was to Investigating parent-child relationship in predicting gender dysphoria in transsexual women and men. Materials and Methods:This is a descriptive correlational study. The statistical population included all individuals with gender dysphoria , visiting the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization of Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran, from 2014 to 2016, in order to follow legal proceedings for gender reassignment. The participants included 50 women and 50 men with gender dysphoria were selected via convenience sampling, gave informed consent, and questionnaires: Parent –Child Relationship and gender identity disorder. The data were analyzed by Pearson correlation and Simultaneous regression (α = 0/05). Results: Based on the results of regression analysis, the father -child relationship was not able to predict gender dysphoria in transsexual women. However, the Mother -child relationship could predict 21% of gender dysphoria in transsexual women, and the best predictor of gender dysphoria was the role of resentment / role confusion component. The father -child relationship was not able to predict gender dysphoria in transsexual men. But the Mother -child relationship could predict 44% of the variance of gender dysphoria in transsexual men, and the best predictor of gender dysphoria was positive affec and identification. Discussion and Conclusion: According to the findings of this study, the disturbance and troubled relationship between the Parent-child relationship can have a significant role in the incidence of gender dysphoria in transsexual men and women. The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of cognitive emotion regulation and mother-child relationship variables in the prediction of psychological well-being of mothers with intellectual disabled children. This is a descriptive and correlational study. The statistical population of this study consisted of all mothers with intellectual disabled children whose children were educated in Mashhad during 97-98 academic year under the exceptional primary education of Mashhad. 150 mothers were selected by accessible sampling method and completed Ryff’s Scales of Psychological Well-being (RSPWB), Cognitive emotion regulation Questionnaire (CERQ) and Parent-child relationship scale (PCRS) to determine the contribution of each of the variables. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the data. Data were analyzed by SPSS-23 software. According to the findings, there was a significant positive correlation between psychological well-being and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy and conversely, there was a significant negative correlation between psychological well-being and maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy. There was also a significant positive correlation between positive parent-child relationship and psychological well-being. The pattern of results indicated that adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy and positive parent-child relationship have the ability to predict the psychological well-being of mothers with intellectual disabled children. Thus, by the intervention and changing the mother-child relationship and cognitive emotion regulation strategies of the mothers with intellectual disabled children, we can improve and enhance the psychological well-being of these mothers. The statistical population of high school students was in the academic year of 1996-97 in Tehran. they had. Questionnaire of the Socio-Economic Movement Database (2016) Questionnaire for evaluating the parent-child relationship between Fine, Morland and Schoubel (1983), Self-concept questionnaire Sarasut (1957). Structural equation modeling was used for analysis. The results showed that the overall effect of father's education (P <0.05, β = 0.163) and maternal education (P <0.05, β = 0.270) on children's self-concept is positive and significant. The direct level of paternal education (P <0.01, β = 0.069) is positive and significant on children's self-concept. Also, the effect of paternal-child relationship quality (P <0.01, β = 0.31) and the quality of mother-child relationship - The child (P <0.01, β = 0.163) has a positive and significant effect on the self-concept of the children. This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the combined program of parent management training and parenting based acceptance and commitment therapy on parental stress, parent-child relationship, and child's externalizing problems. The research was semi-experimental in the form of a pre-test, and post-test design with a control group and a three-month follow-up. The research community was the mothers of children aged 4 to 9 years in Semnan city in 1400. 24 mothers were selected by the available sampling method and randomly divided into two experimental and control groups. The experimental group received 8 two-hour intervention sessions while the control group was on the waiting list. The research tools were Abidin's parenting stress index, Pianta's parent-child relationship scale, and Eyberg's child behavior questionnaire. The data were analyzed by multivariate covariance analysis. The results showed that there is a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the parental stress, parent-child relationship, and the child's externalized problems. Only in the dependence subscale, it can be seen that this difference is not significant. This combined program can be effective in reducing parenting stress and externalizing problems of the child and reduce conflicts between parents and children and bring closer their relationship, but it is not effective in the degree of parent-child dependence.
Psychosomatic disorders refer to physical symptoms caused by psychological causes. Considering the increase in the prevalence of psychosomatic symptoms in childhood and adolescence, it is important to investigate the underlying factors of this issue. The purpose of this study is to explain the role of alexithymia and parents' conflict resolution style in children's psychosomatic disorders by mediating the quality of the parent-child relationship. In this descriptive-correlational study, 120 parents of children with at least one psychosomatic disorder were selected using the available sampling method, and the Toronto Ataxia Questionnaire, Rahim's conflict resolution style, Pianta's parent-child relationship, and Takata's psychosomatic complaints completed the collected data were analyzed by SPSS and smartPLS software. According to the results of the research on emotional dyslexia, parents' conflict resolution style and the quality of the child's parent relationship have a significant relationship directly with the children's psychosomatic manifestations. Also, emotional dyslexia and parents' conflict resolution style have a significant relationship with children's psychosomatic manifestations indirectly and by mediating the quality of parent-child relationship (P<0.50). The structural model of the role of alexithymia and parents' conflict resolution style in children's psychosomatic manifestations with the mediation of parent-child relationship quality had a good fit, and the mediator's role in the model was confirmed. In general, the family environment and parents' characteristics, including emotional ataxia, how to resolve conflicts, and the quality of the parent-child relationship play a role in children's psychosomatic disorders.
Manuscript profile
