        Drought is one of the recurring phenomena in all parts of the world with high-rainfall and low-rainfall climates and it is consider as a natural disaster. Iran is also one of the countries which involved in this phenomenon in different places. Its characteristics, such as the severity, duration, and extent of the drought, are vary from place to place and its damages is depending on the country's planning. In this regard, the necessity of knowing the correct weather conditions and climatic characteristics of different regions have become clear to planners through environmental, economic, agricultural and industrial potentials and their optimal use, as well as predicting the occurrence of natural disasters such as floods and droughts. In this study, for evaluating and comparing drought and wetness events, the precipitation data for the period (1987-2017), as well as the evaporation and transpiration data and the number of rainy days during a statistical period of 10 years (2008-2017) were obtained from 9 stations in Fars province. The standardized precipitation index (SPI) was used, and the Arc GIS software, the drought zoning, evaporation and transpiration maps, and the number of rainy days in the province were plotted. In the studied years, Fars province has faced a near-normal state for 24 years in and drought for 5 years and wetness for one year. The drought situation was studied and analyzed in Shiraz city in the continuation. According to the obtained results, the drought in Shiraz city is more severe than the other parts of the province and it will continue in the future. The SPI index has the highest correlation with the parameters of the number of rainy days with a rate of (0.46) and evaporation and transpiration with a rate of (0.26) in 2012 and 2008.         2 - Prioritization and Identification of Dust Storm Sources in Fars Province

        The purpose of this study was to identify and prioritize dust storm sources in Fars province. The data collection tool in this study is two types of questionnaires including AHP and SWOT. Using AHP method, the questionnaires were extracted and weighted by 20 professors and experts. Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Fars Province in the field of dust storm resources were prepared by SWOT questionnaire with a 5 point Likert scale. Finally, it was used to determine the appropriate strategy in the area of dust storm sources. The SWOT questionnaire was completed by thirty experts and professors proficient in the province. Nine factors including Human Penetration Index, Early Crop Changes, Precipitation Efficiency Coefficient, Human Indicators of Soil Degradation (Human Indices), Frequency of Dust Storms, Soil Physical Properties, Precipitation, Drought and Temperature (Natural Indicators) were investigated. The results of the study showed that 31.3% of the province's area was in a very high class and 19.48% of the province's area was in a high class for being prone to dust. Internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) in Fars province were compared in pairs. The relative weight of weaknesses is 0.223 and the relative weight of strengths is 0.763. The final score of internal factors for the province is 3.296. External factors are also compared in pairs. The relative weight of threats is 0.345 and the relative weight of opportunities is 0.655.         Success in new product development (NPD) projects is a crucial challenge for the past and present managers. Actually researchers have still problems finding the reason for the high rate of failure in such projects. Failure of these projects in small and medium enterprises is a bigger problem compared to large companies. So some of these failures may endanger life of these units and result in the closure of these units. Therefore, in this research the challenges of product development in these companies have been surveyed in particular. For this purpose, opinions of experts and managers of firms in small and medium-size food industries of Fars province have been surveyed and then practical solutions and suggestions have been mentioned. In this study after extensive reviewing of research literature, a series of identified effective challenges and with considering the opinions of managers, significant challenges with degree of their importance within the firms have been mentioned. The results explain that from view of managers of under study, the units in connection with the effective challenges on new product development between the current status and the ideal situation there are significant gaps such as: estimating incorrect suitable market, lack of adequate research and development issues, lack of appropriate and sufficient distribution channels and lack of appropriate advertising for offering new products to the market have been discussed as the challenges.
