        Undoubtedly, the application of knowledge concepts in organizational processes in the present era has led to the growth of organizations. In this age of knowledge, defense organizations of knowledge-based organizations are considered as vital institutions for creating stability and security... In these organizations, knowledge workers are the most important factor in achieving organizational goals.But the management of these employees has many challenges. Therefore, in this research, identification of components of knowledge management in defense organizations is considered as the main goal of the research. In this applied research, after the exploratory studies, 22 components were extracted and examined by Delphi method and three rounds. The method of data collection in this study was semi-structured and structured questionnaires that analyzed by spss software. The results show that in total, eight components are known as the most important components of knowledge management in defense organizations, which can be incorporated into four general dimensions of recruitment, maintenance, refurbishment and implementation.         Recent study aims to provide a model for Total Rewards for knowledge workers of small and medium enterprises. Compensation in this research is explained based on the human capital approach and the synthesis of research literature in four dimensions: pay, benefits, work environment and Learning and development. The present study was carried out with a mixed approach. An interview method used to develop the model in the qualitative study. Then a structural equation modeling approach is used to verify the model. Qualitative data analyzed using content analysis and a confirmatory factor analysis technique utilized in quantitative verification study. Findings showed that pay, development and growth, work environment and benefits are respectively have the most explanation in the model. Based on the findings of the research, we presented executive implications and further research topics for small and medium business environment. Manuscript profile

        Today, the role of knowledge-based companies has grown as one of the key pillars of the resistance economy. Considering the importance of the ability, expertise, and skills of these companies, consideration of the mental, emotional, and interactive characteristics of the company is an essential precondition for the realization of the goals in the knowledge-based companies. The higher the degree of affiliation of the company to the knowledge workers, the more meaningful the concept of performance management will be. However, so far, in the field of knowledge workers' performance, it has been evaluating the performance of these categories of employees. The prevailing characteristics of performance evaluation systems can be seen as the tangent, downside, downside and low level of integrity and effectiveness of the entire system. The research is composed of two stages. With a library study and a review of the research background, an eight-stage performance management model process was extracted. In the first step, after interviewing 16 experts , using the qualitative method of the analysis, the dimensions (stages) of the performance management process of knowledge workers were analyzed. In the second step, the research was conducted using the Structural-Interpretative Modeling (ISM) approach and the use of expert judgment to design a model for the performance management process of knowledge workers in knowledgeable Based companies.         Considering the role of knowledge workers in knowledge-based organizations and the ‎importance of the motivation of this group of employees to enhance the effectiveness and ‎efficiency of the organization; the main objective of the research, identifying and ranking ‎the factors affecting the reduction of the motivation of knowledge workers and providing a ‎model for its improvement at the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry. After reviewing ‎the research literature and using the experts' opinions, the final research model was ‎prepared. This research is quantitative in terms of its approach, in terms of orientation, ‎applied and in terms of strategy, survey. The statistical population of the research is ‎managers, faculty members and researchers of the research institute of petroleum industry. ‎Fuzzy hierarchy analysis technique was used to rank the identified factors and was used ‎by experts. The results of the research indicate that the most important factors affecting ‎the reduction of motivation of knowledge workers in order of priority are the lack of ‎opportunities for improvement and progress; lack of challenging tasks; lack of freedom of ‎action and independence; the process of evaluating the uncertain performance of ‎employees; low salaries and benefits; Lack of managerial support; lack of direct ‎communication with the manager; and willing co-workers.‎ Manuscript profile
