In today’s modern world, tourism has turned into an effective way to access the environment and culture through intercultural communication. However, despite its significance in long-term economic development, intercultural communication is neglected in the planning stages of tourism development projects. Therefore, this study sought to investigate the factors that influence intercultural communication in tourism using a grounded theory approach. To this end, the required data were collected through detailed semi-structured interviews with fifteen experts and professionals in the tourism industry of Hamedan City who were selected via snowball sampling. The collected data were then analyzed, and the results were organized under six main categories with twenty-six sub-categories. Finally, the theoretical model of the study was developed using the Atlas-Ti software. Accordingly, the main six categories of the model included personal characteristics, socio-cultural characteristics, education, producing materials and creating knowledge on intercultural issues in tourism, management and planning, the health and safety of the environment, and media and information technology in intercultural tourism communication. The results of this study propose an integrated approach for tourism managers and entrepreneurs so that they can develop a high level of intercultural communication and competence for tourists. The purpose of this research is to present the framework of the national plan for transparency and information release. The research employs an integrated approach (qualitative and quantitative) and grounded theory as its research methodology. In the qualitative part، with an in-depth and exploratory review of upstream laws and documents، models، theories، plans، and white papers of different countries related to transparency and information release، data analysis was done until theoretical saturation through three stages of open، axial، and selective coding. To acquire the dimensions، components، and subcomponents of this framework، 129 concepts were extracted from 620 primary codes، which were reduced to 593 secondary codes by removing the duplicated elements. Finally، 24 subcategories were placed under the five main components based on the paradigm model. In the quantitative section، the results of the analysis of the questionnaire indicated that، from a validity standpoint، the total value of the questionnaire، in different dimensions، was between 0.87 and 0.92، and the reliability coefficient was between 0.73 and 0.78. Based on data analysis، the establishment of a supranational management institution for transparency and information release، the precise determination of exceptions، network governance، demanding transparency، adherence to frameworks، maximum disclosure and support for legitimate disclosure، and the establishment of a data governance center are among the subcategories emphasized in this framework.
Considering the numerous challenges in online education, this research aims to compile and design a new and innovative model of virtual education. In the qualitative phase, among the qualitative research strategies, the grounded theory was used to develop a comprehensive model that includes causal factors, intervening factors, contextual factors, and conceptual model strategies for training female school employees in virtual space. Interviews were used as the primary data collection tool. Based on the obtained results, a total of 143 concepts and 21 categories or open codes were identified and extracted. The 21 identified categories were placed in the 6 main grounded data categories. Based on the results of the qualitative method, a questionnaire based on the extracted model was compiled and provided to female teachers. According to the results of the structural equation modeling of the questionnaire data, causal relationships with a factor loading of 0.435 and a T-statistic of 9.624 have a direct and significant effect on the main category. Therefore, causal conditions have a positive and significant effect on the main category. The main category, with a factor loading of 0.471 and a T-statistic of 7.734, has a direct and significant effect on strategies. The main category positively and significantly affects strategies. Strategies, with a factor loading of 0.512, affect the outcomes. Strategies have a positive and significant impact on outcomes. Intervening conditions have a direct and significant effect on the outcomes with a factor loading of 0.491. Therefore, intervening conditions positively and significantly affect the strategy. Finally, the contextual conditions, with a factor loading of 0.529, have a direct effect on the outcomes. Contextual conditions have a positive and significant effect on the strategy. In the end, the statistical validity of the model was confirmed.
Manuscript profile
