        Objective: The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating macro and environmental drivers effective in the formation of strategic alliances in the inlaid furniture industry of Malair city. Necessity: Organizations need to adopt efficient and coherent strategies to survive in the current busy and turbulent environment. Undoubtedly, one of the most effective of them is the creation of strategic alliances within the industry. Methodology: This research is of an applied-fundamental and exploratory type, which was implemented in the form of a cross-sectional design. The approach of this qualitative study was the statistical population of inlaid furniture industry activists in Malayer city and the data collection tool was a semi-structured interview. The data was collected in the field and analyzed using thematic analysis. In this study, a total of 20 implementation interviews, 45 codes and 10 themes were extracted with a combined inductive-deductive approach. Findings: The findings of this research showed that the environmental drivers for the formation of strategic alliances include social, legal, political, economic, international, cultural, general, technological and environmental uncertainty. Conclusion: The development of the theoretical framework around the drivers of the strategic alliance, specifically in the inlaid furniture industry and in general in other industries, leads to a more effective and efficient understanding of phenomena and extra-organizational relationships in the minds of industry activists and researchers in various scientific fields, and this is an important foundation.
