These days, organizations environment has become more competitive. According to business researchers, achieving a competitive position for the company is possible only by the proper business model. A successful business model indicates a better option so that it can offer greater value to a distinct group of customers and bring greater benefits to the company. At the start of a business, failure to identify an appropriate business model, leads to the failure of organizations to achieving its goals. Despite the importance of this issue, there is no standard for the definitions and components of business models. Hence, in this study, definitions and components of business models are discussed, according to the different approaches in modeling business models. However, merely having a good business model at the inception of a company is not enough; what is more important is utilizing and maintaining a proper business model over the life of the institution. The power of a business model is such that it can be a powerful tool for analyzing, testing, and evaluating organization's strategic options. Therefore, an organization business model evaluation as a strategic decision-making process will never stop and can be a basis for continuous improvement of the business. Business model evaluation differs according to the levels and units of analysis. In this study,by reviewing the different studies, the most important criteria and methods of business model evaluation has been proposed.Business models are the representation of businesses at a specific time. Rapid technological, economical, cultural and political changes lead to a more complex organizations environmentand dynamic business evolution. This causes instability of business models. Therefore, they change by the development of businesses. Hence, business model innovation has become one of the most important issues in management science. This concept has been studied in the final part of this study. Manuscript profile

Open innovation and absorptive capacity are two popular concepts in contemporary innovation management literature. firms' absorptive capacity, as it has been defined by Cohen and Levinthal (1990), determines their ability to in-source externally developed technology or ideas. In this paper, we tie these two concepts to each other and prove how the recent insights about open innovation can advance our understanding of absorptive capacity. External technology sourcing is becoming more important for a number of reasons: Shortening technology life cycles, emerging technologies with the potential to disrupt market leaders' positions, sharing costs and risks associated with science based technology, globalization of the R&D activities as a response of companies to the greater dissemination of knowledge throughout the world, the growing importance of seed and venture capital to finance excellent business ideas, etc... These inter-organizational knowledge flows do not materialize automatically and firms have to develop skills to tap into external sources of technology. Furthermore, absorptive capacity is crucial in explaining why some companies are better than others in creating and capturing value from in-sourcing externally developed technology and technological collaboration with innovation partners. Hence, absorptive capacity and the outside-in dimension of open innovation are necessarily linked to each other. The purpose of this paper is to analyze how absorptive capacity and the outside-in dimension of open innovation can be linked to each other. We focus on the question how complementary between internal and external technology plays a role in open innovation and absorptive capacity of innovating firms. This paper discuss about open innovation around two key factors (humanity & organizational) and relate it to absorptive capacity .Then analyses conceptual model with SWOT. Manuscript profile

This study sought to develop a social media-based business model for tourism industry. At the first stage, the main elements of the model were extracted from the related literature review and the Osterwalder and Pigneur’s business model framework. At the second stage, to evaluate and prioritize the identified elements, a questionnaire was developed and administered on 119 experts who were selected through snowball sampling. The collected data were then analyzed, using Smart PLS software and the elements were imbedded in the model in order of their importance. Applying multiple case study method, the business model of seven tourism companies who managed to successfully employ the potentials of social media to their benefit were analyzed in the final stage to validate the business model proposed by this study. The findings indicated that active presence in social media would affect the customer-related elements more than those of the supplier-related ones. In other words, the elements related to the relationship with customers, cost structure, value proposition, and distribution channels would be affected more than the elements related to revenue streams, key resources, key activities, and key partnerships. Resistance economy as an economic strategy to face the dependent economy and in response to the arrogant global sanctions against Iran, has been emphasized by the Supreme Leader. Resistance economy seeks to reduce vulnerability to external threats, prevent crises, and review current inefficient economic structures and systems. In the resistance economy, the effort is to reduce dependencies and make maximum use of the advantages of domestic production. Therefore, it is necessary to redesign the business models of Iranian enterprises based on this approach. In this regard, this research has compiled and explained the conceptual framework, dimensions and components of the business model based on the resistance economy approach. The approach of this qualitative research and the research method is meta-synthesis, which follows the seven-stage model of Sandelowski. In the first step, the Supreme Leader's statements regarding the resistance economy, as well as articles and research collections on the concepts of resilience and business models were carefully collected and studied. Then, the conceptual framework of business was identified with the resistance economy approach. In the following, the influencing factors on the design of the business model with the resistance economy approach were identified. For this purpose, 32 studies that were directly related to the research subject were selected and analyzed through MAXQDA software, and 169 codes were identified. In the next step, after categorizing the similar codes, finally 34 code titles were selected in the form of 9 topics and presented in the framework of the conceptual model of the research.
