Business intelligence (BI) systems provide the ability to analyze business information in order to support and improve management decision making across a broad range of business activities. The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of organizational strategy, structure, process, culture, information content quality and information access quality on organizational effectiveness and the possible mediating role of business intelligence (BI) systems among them. For sampling, simple random - sampling method is used. Sample data for this study were collected from E-Farad organization in Tehran and analyzed using the partial least squares method, a statistical analysis technique based on the structural equation modeling. Stability of the questionnaires used in the present study was calculated higher than 0.7 in term of Cronbachalpha, confirming the reliability. The results revealed that organizational factors, such as organizational strategy, structure, culture, and information content quality positively affect both BI systems’ effectiveness and organizational effectiveness. Also, the results showed that there is not a positive and significant effect between variables of process and information access quality on the effectiveness of the organization. Manuscript profile

Nowadays, having the ability of foresight and decision-making is essential for any organization. Advanced and successful organizations have chosen knowledge-oriented strategy to survive in the competitive and rapidly changing environments. Handling of changes and good decision making about them plays a central role in the future success or failure of organizations. Two important concepts that have important role in managers’ decision makings are Business Intelligence (BI) and Knowledge Management (KM). Business intelligence and knowledge management are relative concepts to each other .The relations between these concepts has not been yet offered clearly and determining the boundary of these two concepts is difficult for managers. Researchers have considered different links between them. In this paper, business intelligence and knowledge management will be defined and then different viewpoints about the type of relationship between these concepts will be expressed. In general, it is recognized that knowledge management and business intelligence both have common and same goal which is improving decision-making process and finally improving the business performance. Implementation and execution of these concepts would consider as organization's competitive advantage. However, knowledge management, including both explicit and tacit knowledge, and also considers unstructured data, while business intelligence generally focuses on explicit knowledge. Finally, concluded that, knowledge management and business intelligence should be integrated regardless of the type of relationship between them, because each has advantages and disadvantages. Tourism small and medium enterprises (TSMEs( are more responsive to market demand when compared with larger companies. And if they use business intelligence system, they can enjoy high competition. The cloud platform for implementing business intelligence reduces maintenance and implementation costs for these businesses. The globalization of the markets requires the adaptation of the firm for business sustainability . Cloud deployments of BI and analytics platforms have the potential to reduce cost of ownership and speed time to deployment. In order to subsist, TSMEs have to take advantage of the new technology and new concepts for survival .The statistical population in the qualitative phase included 19 academics and experienced experts in the area of business intelligence .chosen by the purposive sampling approach. Further, in the quantitative phase, 393 people among the mangers of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Mazandaran Province, Iran, were participated. In the current study, the Meta-synthesis method has been utilized to identify the fundamental categories of business intelligence (BI). Fuzzy Delphi method (FDM) has been applied for parameter validation purposes, and eventually, the Cloud business intelligence model has been presented through exploiting the interpretive structural modeling. Final indices, 6 main factors, 27 sub-factors and 34 identifiers were obtained. In this regard, the data analysis process has been performed by MATLAB and MicMac software. Our research has shown that the two main themes of business stimuli and characteristics have the highest influence on other variables.. Manuscript profile

Despite potential tourism capacities in Iran, few foreign tourists visit Iran compared to the competing countries due to the lack of infrastructure, the existence of legal barriers, and the sanctions imposed against Iran. As considerable growth in the application of information technology to tourism is one of the main trends in this industry, this applied exploratory study sought to identify future scenarios of business intelligence in Iran’s tourism industry using both qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the collected data. The population of the study comprised tourism, future study, and business intelligence experts, out of whom the intended participants were selected via judgmental sampling. The study was conducted in three phases. In the first phase, thirty effective driving forces of the prospective business intelligence in the tourism industry were identified by reviewing the related literature and interviewing the experts. In the next phase, the identified driving forces were screened and prioritized using the EDAS. To this end, the driving forces were screened via the Binominal test, twenty of which were eliminated from the analysis, accordingly. Then, the remaining ten driving forces were assessed using the EDAS method. Finally, the type of decision-making culture and the arrival of foreign tourists were selected as the final driving forces, which, together with the application of root definitions and the organization of consultation workshop, formed the basis of offering four scenarios, namely the prosperity, heterogeneity, the spider web, and the ice ages. Accordingly, the prosperity and ice age scenarios illustrate the best and worst conditions for the future of business intelligence in tourism, respectively. Manuscript profile
