Bastello (Director of UNICEF's Plan and Program Office in Brazil). . has been published by Hamshahri Publications with translation by Amir Khorrami. This book has been made available to researchers and students in line with the general policies of the Social and Cultural Studies Office of Tehran Municipality and with the aim of providing important resources and texts in the field of urban studies and social research. This book is a systematic and critical review of more than 600 published works on social impact assessment (SIA) and related fields. The content of this book has been designed and organized in such a way that it has direct practical use for students, university lecturers, organizers of short-term courses, and perhaps most importantly for government employees, consultants and other practitioners and agents in the field of social impact assessment. .This work is based on the premise that ETA is more than just a kind of analytical technique, it is a logical and timely response to the constant and ever-increasing need for complete, open information and participation in the decision-making process. The authors of this work believe that Eta, as an answer to the decision-making problem, is derived from a wide range of disciplines And for this reason, they have tried to look at the affairs, issues and methods related to ETA from an interdisciplinary point of view. Throughout the book, it is emphasized that the progress of social impact assessment as a field related to political and methodological issues depends on the capacity of this field to combine and use practically the resources of a wide range of disciplines.
