Abstract :
Spiritual well-being is affected by several variables such as hope, happiness and religious orientation. This research investigates the relationship of hope, happiness and religiosity with spiritual well-being. The statistical population includes all Quran teachers of Varamin suburbs. For this research, 120 teachers were selected using random sampling. All of them completed the questionnaires of hope (Snyder et al, 1991), happiness (Argyle and Luo, 1990), religiosity orientation (Allport and Ross, 1967), and spiritual well-being (Paloutzin and Ellison, 1982). The data collected was analyzed through step wise regression method. The findings showed a positive and significant relationship between hope, happiness and internal religious orientations with spiritual well-being. Internal religious orientations, happiness and hope in one predicted model predicted 39 percent of variance of spiritual well-being. In order to increase spiritual well-being, teaching internal religious orientations should be given first priority. Then the priority goes to teaching happiness and then hope.
