مرحله آماده سازی نمونه به علت عدم ایجاد گزینشپذیری مطلوب، همچنان عامل محدودکننده فرایندهای تجزیهای در نظر گرفته میشود. در این راستا، به منظور بهبود گزینشپذیری روشهای آماده سازی نمونه، پلیمرهای قالب مولکولی، سنتز و ارائه شدند. این ترکیبات، توانایی انجام استخراج گزینش پذیر را دارند. پلیمرهای قالب-مولکولی(MIPs)، پلیمرهای بسیار پایدار و با قابلیت تشخیص مولکول خاص هستند که برای سنتز این پلیمرها، از الگو (قالب)، در طول فرایند سنتز، استفاده میشود. از آنجایی که پلیمرهای قالب مولکولی دارای گزینشپذیری مناسب در فرایند آمادهسازی نمونه هستند، بنابراین، از آنها به عنوان جاذب مناسب در فرایند استخراج فاز جامد استفاده میشود. این روش، تحت عنوان «استخراج فاز جامد قالب مولکولی» شناخته میشود. علاوه بر این، ترکیب پلیمرهای قالب مولکولی با سایر فنون ریزاستخراج، از جمله ریزاستخراج فاز جامد، استخراج با میله همزن یا ریزاستخراج فاز مایع، راهبردی جدید برای تحقق الزامات آماده سازی نمونه، ارائه میدهد. بر این اساس، رویکردهای مختلف توسعه فنون میکرو استخراج مبتنی بر MIP در سالهای اخیر در این مقاله مرور شده است. مزایا و معایب هر یک از روشها و همچنین، روند مورد انتظار در آینده نیز مورد بحث قرار گرفته است.
