غشا و فرایندهای غشایی نقش مهمی در توسعه پایدار زمینه های بی شماری مانند انرژی، مدیریت زیست محیطی و سلامت انسان ایفا می کنند. با این حال، غیر قابل تغییر بودن اندازه منافذ و خواص سطح غشاهای تجاری، کاربرد موثرآن ها را محدود کرده است. به منظور ارتقای کارایی غشاهای تجاری، غشاهای جدیدی با الهام از غشای سلولی و با استفاده از ترکیب غشاهای معمول و مواد پاسخگو به عوامل تحریک خارجی به عنوان غشاهای هوشمند ساخته شد هاست. غشاهای با دریچه هوشمند، مزیت های بسیاری نسبت به غشاهای معمولی دارند. از جمله تنظیم نفوذپذیری و انتخاب پذیری بر اساس تغییر حالت '' باز / بسته '' دریچه ها در پاسخ به تحری کهای محیطی. در این مقاله مروری به صورت خلاصه تحولات اخیر در زمینه غشاهای پاسخگو به تحری کهای محیطی، از جمله رهیاف تهای طراحی و ساخت غشاهای هوشمند و همچنین کاربرد گسترده آن ها در زمینه های مختلف بررسی شده است.
