ملخص المقالة :
کولیک یکی از مهمترین مشکلاتی است که اسبها را متاثر میکند و به صورت سالانه 4% تا 10% اسبها را درگیر مینماید. نکته قابل توجه این است که 80% موارد کولیک، یا گازی یا با منشا نامشخص هستند که بدون درمان یا با یک درمان ساده بهبود مییابند. معمولا حدود 5% از اسبها دچار انباشتگی کولونهای بزرگ به فرم خفیف میشوند و به درمان پاسخ میدهند و کمتر از 7% موارد کولیک به جراحی نیاز پیدا میکنند. اسبهایی که علائم کولیک را به شکل خفیف نشان میدهند، پیش آگهی بهتری برای زنده ماندن دارند و نهایتا در 13% موارد احتمال عود مجدد علائم وجود دارد.
