مروری بر عوامل خطر کولیک در اسب

بیماریهای گوارشی 50% از مشکلات و بیماریهای منجر به مرگ در اسبهای بالغ هستند. بر اساس مطالعات اپیدمیولوژیک انجام شده به ازای هر 100 راس اسب در سال بین 9/0 تا 10 اسب دچار کولیک میشوند. وقوع کولیک بین فارمهای مختلف و حتی در زمانهای مختلف در یک فارم متفاوت است. به نظر میرسد وقوع کولیک به شدت متاثر از سطح کیفیت مدیریت گله و نگهداری اسب در طول سال است. این بدان معناست که تنوع در میزان وقوع، بیشتر از مدیرت منشا میگیرد تا نژاد اسبها. عوامل مختلفی مثل نژاد، سن، جنسیت، تاریخچه، تغذیه، فعالیتها، مشکلات عفونی و انگلی و مشکلات دندانی میتوانند احتمال ابتلا به کولیک را در اسبها افزایش دهند. به عنوان مثال اسبهای نژاد عرب را به عنوان نژاد مستعد به کولیک دانستهاند، همچنین نژادهای دیگری مثل تروبرد و استاندارد برد نیز در ریسک بالایی برای ابتلا به کولیک قرار دارند. علاوه بر این موارد، نریانها به ویژه نریانهای اخته شده به کولیک حساسترند. تغییر در نوع کنسانتره مصرفی، نوع سایر خوراکها، کیفیت علوفه و چراگاه در ارتباط نزدیکی با کولیک و عوامل ایجاد کننده آنها هستند. انگلهای رودهای به ویژه کرمهای نواری و استرانژیلوسها به عنوان ریسک فاکتورهای مهم و اساسی در ابتلای به کولیک مطرح هستند که میتوانند احتمال ابتلا را تا چندین برابر افزایش دهند.
